I've missed your videos so much! I always feel like we're somehow in similar life phases. I started part-time freelancing exactly a year ago and gave up my "normal" job around june. Moved abroad for the summer and then came back in september to start freelancing full time (I'm a book translator and language coach). It's definitely been a challenge (finding clients for my translations, standing my ground when it comes to the money side of it all and somehow also learning how to say 'no', especially with the language coaching where language schools sometimes expect you to at the same time be a flexible freelancer and be able to teach for them 24/7 (and the taxes are a whole other mess)) but honestly it is still definitely the best choice for me. When I worked my previous job I felt like my freedom was taken away from me in a sense, I felt so trapped in this building, not being able to choose my own hours and barely having a say in what I had to do. Now at least I feel free again and I actually enjoy pretty much all the work I do. It is a bit strange to have some months where I have so much work that I can barely do anything else and then others where I'm chilling a lot more, but I love that not every day is the same. This would definitely not be for everyone but it works for me. So interesting to see you go through this too and see your take on it. I wish you all the luck with freelancing and I bet it will bring you fulfillment!
