KL is one of my favorite places to visit for a visa run from Bali. I usually stay is China Town which is not far from the Twin Towers. I went up to the top of the twin towers and what an amazing view it was.

If you don't mind walking a bit there is a bridge that connect KLCC and Pavilion Bukit Bintang. So instead of taking train you can use that. You can ask the security guard at both mall if you do not know where.

I'm from KL. Actually, KL nowadays is much more mixed than the typical Chinese (40+%), Malay (40+%) and Indian (10%). Now, got Japanese, Korean, European and other ASEAN countries like Thailand, Vietnamese and Filipinos too.

I like KL especially Bukit Bintang areas twin towns shopping malls e.g.the only problem is beaches ⛱️ are far away, Bali is popular with beaches ⛱️, a few times I been all over Malaysia travelling by bus 🚌 from Pudu bus 🚌 station the longest bus trip was from KL to George Town Penang 5 or 6 hours from my memory, must come back soon for sure.

if you want beaches... many great beaches located at the east coast of peninsular malaysia... not penang... penang located at west coast... west coast doesn't have great beach accept beaches at langkawi island

Sad not to see you traveling with your wife. Some amazing KZbin channels are based on only one city, no traveling needed (with the expenses it brings). Specialization is key, geographically dispersing is not necessarily better! Furthermore, in my humble opinion, live interactions with your wife are also KEY to this channel. It’s “the monkeyS” (in plural). To improve your content, there is no need on traveling around south East Asia, many vbloggers already on this area, I would leverage 2 great things that you do have (without expending money in hotels and flights): 1) my wife, since the combination of the 2 makes a great result, catchy and funny in the best meaning of the word, and 2) You guys know Bali better than many other vloggers and with imagination you can make something very attractive and different without leaving the island (please take this as a constructive advice, I just think the 2 of you make a great team AND, at the same time, marriage needs presence. This is just my opinion).

Thanks Damian I like that you show case other Asien countries as well. We can always watch Uncle Chan , Bruce Pohlman and other Bali vlogs if we miss Bali. Bruce is vlogging "snippets" of up at his Singaraja now and then. When I lost my Credid card in KL on my second of two days I was sick in a Cold and went to an Apotik to buy medicine. Then I saw this small Chines Vegan Cafe'. I went there and put up all my MYR I had. I asked "what can I get for this money?" and explained that it was all money I had and that I lost my Credit card in an ATM.The gave first a Soup , Main course Veggie Curry and also Dessert. I had got over my budget by having a very expensive Pizza at my hotel the first day. I had done everything to get my Credit card back before I cancelled it. I even get the Safe guards up at the Bank to call the Bank manager. I talked to him but he could not do anything. This was 2007. If it had been today with Smartphones I could have easily tranferred money to my Global Travel card that was emty after Bali. Today I have three Credit Cards. One from my Bank, one Forex travelcard and another card from which I can buy with and pay one month later. It is used for Internet purchases otherwise.

Interesting story and experience Rita, for sure one of the worst thing what might happen to you during traveling abroad is loss of debit / credit card. Especially if you have only one! Same as me, I have 2 cards for daily use like, plus another emergency one with few dollars on it (usd balance) plus one sharing with Winny plus one more emergency one let's say my brother from UK could sent me some found, so feel more safe, anyways now in 2022 they have e-wallet by touch n go, you can go to 7-eleven top up it, without using atm, sooo convenience, also you can pay online in most of the places so, cool, but yeah in 2007 was totally different then now. I bet bank couldn’t do anything cuz most of the ATM,s have a system as they destroy your card automatically if there is some error like you didn’t get it back, this is also for your protection in case if someone who open the ATM later on could potentially try to use it. especially with now system of contactless etc.. How did you managed to get money for the rest of the trip than ??

@@TheMonkeysI managed by having Swedish money when I came to the Airport Arlanda 40 km north of Stockholm. I paid for Flight bus ticket to the train station in Stockholm. I had sent Message to my sister and her daughter who lives in Stockholm she came and gave me money to my Train ticket home to my town 200 km from Stockholm. As soon as I had talked to the Bank director I cancelled my Credit card. After 3 days at home I got a new credit card by Post office. And I could fill up my Global Credit card from my Internet bank.

But I had a worse situation in 2017 in Bali. I always stay 1-2 months in Bali. This time I had my Forex travel card that I would withdraw money with in an ATM 6 days before the trip home. I stayed at the Ramayana hotel in Sanur and used to go to Hardys to withdraw money. Luckily had already paid the hotel bill. I had not used the card in 7 days. My friend Oka drove me to one of the Banks in Sanur that has Safe Guard outside. I did not get money out so we went to another Bank no money there either. I knew there was 16,000 SEK ie 1600 USD. Of which 10,000 SEK belonged to Forex my Travelbank office. We went to my hotel room to check in my Surf plate and see how much money I had left. Then it turned out that I had been skimmed and that the account had been emptied and that 20 withdrawals had been made, of which 17 failed. We went to the police who said that they could not do anything but that they knew that Tawanese villains did this via the Internet from Surabaya. I had my second Credit card from my bank to use. When I got home I contacted Forex again and they said I would fill out a Police report and a report to Forex bank. 5 days later I had 6,000 SEK back and a new Forex card. Because it was so clear that I had not tried so many times to withdraw money, I was believed.
