Kuala Lumpur is in a transition from being an underrated to a well-known city in SEA. People from the west usually will skip KL from Thailand straight to Indonesia but now, it became a passing city across SEA. Malaysia is also becoming a famous foreign country to visit by Indonesians and Thais as much as Indonesia and Thailand were to Malaysians since 15 years back. A lot of Indonesians opted to go to Malaysia since it is becoming a much affordable city to travel than before.

I think one thing you'll notice about Malaysian durians is the freshness because they are harvested after they're ripe and dropped from the tree then quickly transported from the farms to the market. From what I've seen from videos and trying some Thai durians they're plucked from the tree and dipped in preservatives.

But, you can come back soon! Hope you are well and come back to Malaysia.
