I’m back with a few Sinclair Patterns

I haven't been posting since Christmas but I'm back with quite a bit to vlog about. This will be, I hope the first of many.

I really like the stand up collars. I've seen them recently - and in vintage patterns... and I think it's very flattering. It's in my mind to make a few in the future.

Hi Deb, good to see you again. I’ve also made the Jody top in cotton jersey but added too much to the sides, so, perfect pyjama tops for the cooler weather. I’ll have another go in a better stretch fabric and maybe I’ll actually wear that over jeans. Perhaps! So many other patterns in my collection are waiting to see the light of day. Too much choice. So nice to see you again Deb! I like your lime-green and striped top; I don't see too much fabric on your tummy. I would do something about the collar though, there seems to be a lot of fabric there. I must say, I've been buying clothes lately as I don't seem to do as much actual sewing as i do thinking about sewing. But I am dismayed that there's so little available in the shops that's not synthetic. I do like my wool and cotton garments. So i suppose I'll have to buckle down and sew!

Hi Deb, have you tried making the Sinclair Harper cardigan. It’s so easy to make and it’s free. I’ve used it three times with different weights of knit fabric and love them all. It’s just so easy to slip on and it’s warm and cosy in the winter months. Happy sewing 🧵🪡🇦🇺

So nice to see you back! I loved the stripe and bright green hoodie on you! And your hair looks amazing! I really appreciate how you analyze your wardrobe and sewing needs. That's what is so much fun with sewing and clothes in general, isn't it? Never a one-and-done deal. I've just turned 64 this year and have been sewing my own clothes since I was 15. And, again, at this age - re-thinking my needs, style etc. What am I sewing? I have patterns and fabric for wrap dresses that I've been meaning to try for a couple of years now. So the goal is to hopefully get a couple done soon. Patterns are: B5030 and Kwik Sew 4169 looking forward to see what else you have to show us 🤗

I just found your channel and subscribed. I thought the lime green and purple stripe top looked really cute and the pattern was unique and a style I haven’t seen done this way. It looked comfortable, like when your lounging around the house type of style, but I would (speaking if I were making it for myself) rather have a crew neck style collar simply due to collars that stand out and away from the neck really don’t look that good on me. The Sinclair sweater is gorgeous! It really looks great with the fix you did to the front. You look quite lovely in the sweater as well. Thank you for sharing with us.😊

Yes when I look back on stuff I wore, I know it was because it was all I could find that fitted. It takes time to find your taste when you suddenly have the option of anything you like!
