why not change the challenge to Slap happy living and the focus changes to living on retirement, can cover travel, cooking, sewing and arts.. You decide whether you want your share your travels, sights you see etc.. Your sewing mojo might come back as you do not want to live in the same clothes for ever. Maybe you will see something new each season for the fun and pleasure and with each season you can declutter your wardrobe.. It obvious your social life will get busy being retired and in your estate. It lovely to see you back in any form you choose.

Congrats on all your changes! I’m going through a similar situation with moving. Don’t feel any pressure to make clothes if you don’t want to. I’ve been there too. The break from it has been amazing. Have a great holiday! Xx

Lovely to see you again, I’ve missed you. You did mention in the past that you were moving, so glad everything went well. It’s lovely to be in a new house and your surroundings look beautifully relaxing. Please don’t give up your you tube channel I do enjoy seeing you and hearing how your going along. If you have time on your holiday you could post a few videos while on your trip, that would be very interesting. Have a good time on your travels. 🧵🪡🇦🇺

Deb it's just great to see you again. I'm so happy for the changes for you and that you're enjoying yourself. It is a big change after retiring wardrobe changes activity changes in life is more casual. Of course I have also become a widow in the last few years and that changes everything also. I agree on the sewing sometimes I can't get motivated because I don't need more things and I often get stuff from charity shops and just have too much stuff anyhow. However sometimes I try to sew some things not close but other things for some other people and that's enjoyable. I have a huge yard over 2 acres to take care of and that keeps me busy also. I volunteer at a thrift shop that money goes to hospice which is great. I do hope you will continue on KZbin because just seeing your :-) and listening to you always just adds some joy to my life. 😊 Please keep in touch with us would love to know how you're doing.

What a wonderful surprise to see your video on my play list this morning and to catch up over a cup of coffee before I get ready for work! You look so happy and relaxed. Congratulations on retiring and your new home!!! It looks like you're living in a lovely part of your lovely country. I'm so happy for you. I'll watch any video you publish, because you're one of my favorite people on YT. Enjoy your long, adventure in GB and Europe! Co-housing...yes, please tell us more. I've never heard of it outside of you mentioning it. Happy to see your old kitty curled up next to you. I traveled by car for several months last year (Denver to Florida and back to California) with my cat and dog and was pleasantly surprised how well my cat traveled. It's nice to be settled now, though.

Glad to see you back. We retired 4 years ago and moved from Washington State to Alabama, USA. Everything changed but in a good way, we love retirement and keep very busy. Have a wonderful time on your trip!

Great to see you again and to hear a life update. So much change in a short time and moving islands without actually seeing where you would be moving must have been stressful. Sharing what you’re up to would be interesting whether it’s needle craft, travel or bits of sewing. Thanks for checking in. I’ve wondered how you were getting on.

So good to see you. Keep making your videos, you’re like an old friend popping in for a visit. You have so many similarities to me. I retired at 64 and downsized considerably and never looked back. Have a fantastic time on your trip. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Have a fantastic day. Val❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

So nice to see you! Would love to see how you get along on your Adventure! It sounds like a lot of fun, you can get a few pictures of what you get up to on that trip, that would keep us company. It is really lovely to see you doing so well, and settled in. I'm semi retired, trying to only work 1 day a week, almost 70, but that keeps me busy. Liz from South Florida 😎🌴☀️

Excited to see you pop up again. Great catching up. It is interesting to follow your life changes and hear about your new situation. Even positive change is stressful. I love being retired. It is true that you don't need a lot of clothes in retirement so pivoting to other hobbies does happen. I'd watch anything you post.

Happy retirement, life throws curveballs and you just have to go with it. So often it ends up for the better. In retirement I started off making clothes for myself, got fed up of that and started quilting which I do lots of now. Quilting and applique gives me an outlet for my love of colours. Your surroundings look idyllic, it would be good to see how you both get on in the community.

Hi from Canada 🇨🇦 Love 😍 your aria shirts. I have that pattern but haven’t tried it yet. New to sewing clothes. Feeling inspired after seeing yours. I was worried it would be slim fitted but yours looks nice and roomy. My back doesn’t get sore but my bum does from sewing too long. I get up and make a cuppa tea, sit in my comfy recliner for a bit. Loving your videos. Keep up the great job!

Yes the navy shirt looks beautiful and looks longer. I had that rhapsody that did that stretched vertically. It was crinkle rayon. The second top I made out of that’s same type of material I stay stitched all curves before starting with much better results. New to your channel. Love you honesty 😘 🇨🇦

I so enjoy watching your vlogs they are always so interesting. I do hope your home in the South Island is as you expect it to be and when you move you will be happy there. Will you have to have warmer clothes if you move to the south of the South Island? I’ve visited there and it’s very beautiful. I wish you well in your retirement, it can take time to get used to it but I’m sure you will enjoy getting to know new people and making new friends when your in your new home. I look forward to hearing how you are enjoying your move. 🧵🪡🇦🇺

I think your video idea is very nice. I’ll watch your videos! I have to say that I started watching your videos, because you have a body like mine. It’s nice to see people sewing for a shape like your own. I made the Kersoe top. I had to make the shoulder and upper bust area smaller and grade to the bust. I also made a slight swayback adjustment and graded a little out for my hip. Next time I’m not doing the facing. I’m going to use bias tape. It’s breezier that way. Happy New Year🎉

Hi Deb happy retirement. though i'm sure you'll be busy when you move to your new house with all those fun things like decorating and playing a new garden etc. I'm trying to decide when I'll retire though being a government employee jn NZ the decision might be made for me. I love your clothing videos. I'm definitely a slap happy sewer but my aim is get better so I can sew for my granddaughters. I'd love to see more crafty things when you do those type of things. Anyway keep cool and dry the way the weather has been on the Kapiti Coast today.
