These comments are kinda annoying. I get the sentiment but the disingenuous reframing of reality has to stop. It comes off as silly. The man is not "apologizing for taking care of himself". He's proactively communicating with the consumer in as positive a way as possible (as any decent businessman should). That is all. Life happens, he wasn't shirking his work responsibilities and he wishes he could have kept his regular schedule which makes him as displeased with the unfortunate circumstances as anyone else, good to know. End of story. Reading more into it doesn't make sense. Occam's razor applies here. It's a bit childish to say the least to imply the audience, or a portion of the audience, has somehow oppressed him into some form of psychological self-harm where he's up in his fee-fees like an abusive relationship and selflessly ignores his own mental and physical well-being for fear of causing anyone a negligible amount of the most minor of discomforts. I know it's likely an easy habit to fall into without actually thinking about, but the reality is it's a little gross. It infantilizes both parties, people shouldn't do it. Instead we should endeavour to display basic benefit of the doubt, human decency and mutual respect until individuals give them reason to do otherwise (in other words, follow The Golden Rule) I hear him say that and all i think is "Thanks Scar, appreciate it bud and hope you're doing all right." If other creators had that kind of common sense i'm sure KZbin wound be a much more wholesome place as a result. Frankly it pisses me (and most others fwiw) off when ppl up and disappear without any forewarning or a simple tweet at least saying something urgent has come up and it's gonna be a bit before the next upload (no other info is necessary and ppl are free to divulge whatever they feel comfortable with, no need for anyone to get parasocial about it) cuz after some time you can't help but thinking "Oh i hope they're okay". It's be weird/wrong to want anyone to feel that way afaic. It's nice to know ppl miss you but it shouldn't be that big a deal. Honestly it's the least a fellow can do without being rude and ungrateful and exactly what i'd feel obligated to do if i were a content creator myself so it only stands to reason that it should be expected/the norm. Once again, i do appreciate it though (albeit to the degree that such positivity is warranted as blowing smoke up someone's backside to massage a presumed fragile ego does neither party any favours). To Scar i quote Captain James Hook: "Good form."

In case it helps, I am also disabled, and something that helps me a lot when I want to apologize for something I know I shouldn't have to, I say "thank you" instead :)) like "thank you for your patience" or "thank you for your support" instead of "sorry for the delay" -- I think it feels better both to receive as well as say

Time for the update: Cleo had a court case against Doc for killing her pig and causing emotional damage. Doc had Joe as his lawyer who claimed that Doc was a big baby and didn’t know. Cleo had Skizz as her lawyer where Skizz provided witnesses from the scene. Doc lost and is now forced to stay in the sky for two weeks and if he touched the ground, he would be stuck up there for another week. Unfortunately, that happened when he was with Pearl who put him on a llama and he tried to shift click stuff out of an ender chest and touched the ground. We haven’t seen too much from the diamond snatcher because Doc is stuck.

This reminds me of an assignment I did in college. I'm from Louisiana so we did a bunch of research about the land loss further south. Some indigenous people are having to be relocated because their land is disappearing and water from the Mississippi is being redirected to deposit more soil in the marshlands, but it's also killing the wildlife and flooding the Indigenous peoples' land.

Scar, Watching your terraforming timelapse is like watching an artist paint. It's really amazing how you transform a simple plains area near a river into this beautiful marshy wetlands. I love the wetland so much but i think its missing one thing - grain’s cattails. He came up with a simple, really nicer looking cattail plant that’s just literally lime or green glass panes submerged in the water, sticking one or two blocks out of it, and then a brown candle on top. I think it would fit perfectly

I swear, Scar is the best youtuber of all time. Well; to start, I first watched HermitCraft from Grian's perspective (as literally almost half of the HermitCraft community has) and I saw Scar as a funny, clumsy and energetic guy. Then I saw his builds-- the life brought into them. I then realized he was kind of a talented person. Now I see from his perspective too and now I see that he is truly an inspiring person. He doesn't deserve any of the stuff or stress or chaos brought onto him. Scar is just a great guy from what the viewer's eye can see, and more than I ever thought he was to be honest. Whether it's mental or physical health or any kind of health this guy shouldn't need to apologize for anything. Surgery is a serious thing; and stress is too. Scar is genuinely funny, creative, and aspiring. We may never know what's happening inside his true life, but from what I can see, I truly want to be just like Scar.

The mud, deepslate, blackstone, and moss river bank for the marsh looks so good! It can be very hard making a river bank that looks both good and realistic but also clearly different from the naturally generating rivers in minecraft, and the marshy, muddy banks just look amazing!

Hey Scar! I just wanted to leave a comment letting you know that your transparency with your surgeries and health struggles has really helped me get through mine! I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, which was my first ever surgery, and then not long after I got a blood test result back that indicated I had celiac’s disease, which I would need a gastroscopy and colonoscopy to affirm. At first I was so incredibly nervous to go through a procedure like that but I found comfort in telling myself “I’m like Scar.” It genuinely made me feel so much better, and on the day I was able to get it over and done with, with minimal anxiety.
