At first I was like, jeeze why is she shaking so bad? There's legit nothing wrong with being bisexual or completely gay in general then I saw that it was illegal where she's from and living in the USA, me being very open about being gay, and never hiding that fact, I forget it's still illegal in some places and considered disgraceful so now I realize why she sounds so scared! Though I'm so proud of her for accepting herself and opening up! Especially being where she's from. Have to seriously give it to those who were born somewhere where being gay is illegal or very looked down upon or having family who do not support them.

one of the reasons why its still untalked about in Northern Ireland is there haven't had a government for 13 months but Northern Ireland would still be heavily influenced by religion compared to the rest of the island. people believe in a group mentality and until someone starts the charge for gay marriage in Northern Ireland people will be fearful

Be you. People are far too hung up on other people's sexuality. On a personal level I didn't need to know that you are bisexual. Sexuality has nothing to do with the character of the person. I know from your videos that you are a sweet, caring individual who puts others first and works incredibly hard at her craft. Those are the things that people should see and concern themselves with. Family is one of the hardest things. You can only do so much, go so far, to make people happy. If they truly love you they should be happy if you're happy, regardless of what or who brought that happiness on. I live in the most conservative county in the most conservative state in the USA... People, where I'm from, would lynch, tar, and drag people from the back of their vehicles through town... And no one ever got repercussions for those actions. So I understand where you're coming from. I have several lesbian and gay friends who had to leave their homes because it simply wasn't safe for them after they came out. Several moved to places like NYC, Miami, and LA just to get away from the ridicule. Hang in there little missy. Things get better. They people who don't or can't accept you will be replaced by new friends and family who do and will. Keep your chin up and stay strong and true to your heart.

My family and I lived in Savannah, Ga for years and when my daughter started dating her girlfriend, she was bullied so bad by classmates, their parents, the school staff and teachers that she tried to take her own life at 14, and she now suffers from such extreme social anxiety that she can't go into public without shaking. I'm in tears writing this because my daughter is the sweetest person you'll ever meet and an absolutely beautiful angel. I ripped into everyone that treated her wrong and eventually got the school, the staff and the parents on notice with the school board and eventually on the news. But nothing will ever change what those evil people did to my daughter. I can't imagine what it would have been like for her being in the public eye and having countries of people judging her. Be who you are and be proud❣ ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Huh? I thought you were fully out as bisexual already? Ah, I get it, there is out and there is out. And various reasons to confirm or avoid it. For instance Camila subtly (or not so subtly) hinting at it always but never officially confirming it. Probably smart if interacting with some judgemental people. I think agents or so advised not to come out openly for career reasons, assuming others might judge. It took KStew ages to come out while everyone already knew. Maybe for career reasons (chance of getting heterosexual romantic roles may drops a lot?). Or she considered a label something private, not something you are obliged to share or even relevant for people to know. Taylor Swift might also be interested in girls, but either is only mildly curious (get intense bi-romantic vibes of her) or fears her fans and the people she works with are raised very traditional and wouldn't like it. I think Dua Lipa is also bi, but she's not sure of it yet, so she isn't ready to come out. Or maybe she will once she wants to date a girl and doesn't think it's relevant to mention until then. It's also a process, and it's all about how comfortable you are with yourself and how others view you. I think posting this video is a sign of big personal growth! 😍 Always be your best self!

Janet, thank you for your very brave post. Your words and your obvious nervousness spoke greatly to your depth of feeling and your pain. I am convinced that there is no freedom without the freedom to be yourself. As a biologist I can say without exaggeration that sex is a matter of gradations in humans as well as many other animals. There is nothing unnatural, nothing wrong with who you are, despite what any person or people may say to the contrary. But I doubt that knowledge offers much comfort alone. So let me offer this. Obviously I know you only from your art and your videos, but both have brought me great joy. As I’ve aged (I turned 60 a few months ago), I’ve cared less and less about what others think of me and more about what I think of myself. This past summer I spent fighting cancer (successfully from what I can tell), andI was astonished by the outpouring of love from my friends and acquaintances. I always knew I was tremendously fortunate to have a wife I love more now than when I badgered her into marrying me 37 years, but I didn’t know that there was so much love in those around me. Janet you have that love from people you’ve never met, not because of your talents, but because of what you’ve shown of yourself to us, through these videos. Perhaps you can draw from those emotions to help you be secure in being who you are, and to follow wherever your passion, man or woman, takes you.

This took a lot of courage. Yes when it comes to gay,bi or trans people some things have changed. But there is still a helluva long way to go. There is still a lot of cruelty,hatred and discrimination in the world. All I can say is be true to yourself. Love is love is love. You don't need to appologise. And though I've never met you or know you well I personally think you're a real sweetheart who wears her heart on her sleeve. Also from what I've seen you are truly a good person with a big heart. You're compassionate, empathetic and passionate about your music and things that you believe in. This world needs more people like you. And in some ways I'm the same way. I also want to thank you for bringing some light,joy and a bit of laughter to my world. The past year and a half to 2 years have been a very difficult time for me. It started in 2016 when I lost my Dad,then a few months later I lost a dear friend to basically suicide by police and just a couple of weeks ago I lost another dear friend to cancer. Watching your posts has helped me feel a bit of joy/happiness when I've been feeling down. You have NOTHING to apologize for. Blood relation or not, the people who love you unconditionally are the ones you want to keep close to you. I came out as gay at the age of 17 (About 20 years ago), so I can appreciate the way you feel about accepting yourself, especially given the environment that you grew up around. I know that these days, coming out to some people is just like ordering a pizza, but it's still an issue that scares a lot of us. All I can say to you (and I know that I may come across as kinda preachy, and I apologise for that) is embrace who you are, don't fight against it. Be proud of being yourself, and not having to hide you from others. I do hear the fear and pain within you. I wish it wasn't so hard, but also understand the issues coming from such a conservative place and family as well. Your family, regardless, would be so proud of you.
