I retire in months and would love to have a rig like this. Quietly travel and sleep anywhere undetected.

You are more than welcome to add an updated version to your truck, like with this client's truck so you don't have to be jealous.

2 in lot of insulation unless you're in a very cold area. I put 1 in in my truck and it worked quite well with 3/4 in plywood over the top in a aluminum box truck that is black in the summertime you cannot feel the heat on the sides.

I’m pretty stoked to see you build this out. I love the box truck stealth. I wonder if there’s any a way to “stealth” an existing motor home.

want one of this so bad, but with $1600 rent that makes anything I want to do hard to do, also why I want one, tired of the ever growing rent prices, in some place the space you get in the box truck is rented out for $2000.
@opossumgrylls32759 ай бұрын
Roofing supply shops should be able to order you polyisocyanurate insulation of any thickness. With a plan, MEP's can be installed first rather than like an afterthought. Your first build drove me nuts with everything that seemed like an after thought.

This is great work, I just finished watching a few RB channels where people paid 400k for these fancy RV’s and they were poorly built, not quality at all.

A dream to win one of those. I wish I could do it myself.

Are you going to add that paint to prevent the heat from beating your box truck also?

Looks like another cool build series 😎 👍 So totally not an addictive habit forming of watching build series 🙄 😊😅 Wait is it just as so for the builder? 👷♂️ 😳 🤔

Can we have a video on how you connected the winch to raise and lower your deck? Also did you do anything to your plumbing under the truck to be able to camp in colder temps?
@TheTechnoBarbarian Жыл бұрын
I never implemented the winch idea. Couldn't ever figure out how to engineer it. Water tanks will get heating pads and insulation.

@@TheTechnoBarbarian Thank you! I love the deck idea so I have plans to do it. Thank you for responding.

You're jealous? 🤣 I'm dying here. Now I have to rip my half done badly done ceiling down and do over. Brilliant, brilliant work on the ceiling. What bit did you use to get through the ribs, I couldn't manage it, but I'm an 'old lady'. The arms over head thing wasn't doing it for me and the bits I was sold weren't even denting it. I send the link to your tank install to our mechanic, thank you very much! All the extra safety on those made me much more confident to argue for your method. I'll have to check and see what roof cover brand you used, I started commenting without looking. One thing we avoided was the gods awful plastic opaque roofed vans. I think penske has them? Avoid at all cost. Is the customer going with a motorcycle lift? Sacrificing the awesome back patio for the bike? Can't wait to see. Excuse me while I go cuss at my lame arse ceiling. 🤣🤣🤣
@TheTechnoBarbarian Жыл бұрын
I use pretty standard bits from Home Depot, get the gold or black ones they are generally much harder than the aluminum and can drill through easily. Just dont go through both walls of the rib! Also I feel your pain I had to redo my ceiling various times
@SewingBoxDesigns Жыл бұрын
I had titanium ones on an impact drill. 😑 And bit collars are a wonderful thing. The Gorilla glue is going to be fun to sand off. But after all the rain we had, I like your idea about the sound barrier. 👍
@danielleperkins6954 Жыл бұрын
Man I JUST put kilmat on the walls of my box truck like an hour ago and now I'm watching this only to see that its pointless 😂.
@SewingBoxDesigns Жыл бұрын
Maybe not. One thing hubby and I tested was normal and loud speaking voice being overheard from outside. With our small camper, people made some insanely strange assumptions based on us having innocent conversations.🤬 Actually had the cops called on me for talking to our cat! The noise barrier will give you more privacy.
@TheTechnoBarbarian Жыл бұрын
It's not completely pointless but it's not going to make a very noticable difference unless you apply nearly full coverage (for the wooden walls of a U-Haul)
