I think it is a good tip to eat at a specialty restaurant on embrocation day to beat the crowds that are in the buffet area, especially if you planned on eating at a specialty restaurant during your cruise.

So funny that I too decided to change up how I cruise for 2025 vs 2024 like you! I did 4 cruises on 3 different cruise lines and visited 4 different Bahamian islands in 2024. This year just doing 2 cruises on just one cruise line but one will be Alaska on the Quantum and the other will be on Utopia of the Seas to the Bahamas. Alaska will be the 1st time flying to meet the cruise ship as I live in Florida and can drive to any of the 6 cruise ports fairly easily.

I’m not into specialty restaurant, im more on buffet girl, thought I tend to eat same foods if I like them. I’m not uptight person so I can wait. Cruising now a days is not the same as 20 years ago, it was classier and top notch service.

Have you been cruising since 1993 on four different cruise lines over 200 sea days here's my advice...... stay away from mainstream Cruise lines including Cunard, Disney royal Caribbean, etc. they're all overcrowded, ships are too big, the nickel and dime you, it takes the fun out of cruising. Try Seaborn, silver sea, Crystal, Regent & Similar 😊
