The BIG exception here I believe is the MSC Opera.. operating in canary islands right now.. more akin to a Ferry boat.. food nasty and cold, ship old and dated, staff worn out and long lines for Everything.. elevators bars buffet and getting off the "ship", and entertainment non existent ! Living on pizza for a week not my idea of a cruise.

I give 2 thumbs up to MSC. I'm about to go on my 3rd in 2 days from now. Ships are beautiful, good is great and I've had a better time then on on cruise lines

We just came back from 7 nights on Panorama to Mexico over Christmas break. We had two rooms, one window and one interior. Paid for two cheers and two bubbles packages. Two excursions. Drove to the port. Total paid was about $10k.

We bailed also.

I will be cruising on the carnival Sunrise in April 2025 and I also cruised on the carnival Freedom in April of 2023. I think having a midnight buffet is a great idea because I love to eat I'm always hungry.

All cruise ships are petri dishes. If one person gets sick, it doesn't take long for the entire ship to be infected too.

Every once in a while I watch a video about cruise ships to remind myself why I would NEVER chose to "vacation" on a cruise ship; thank you!

We finished with Carnival after turning Platinum. We sailed on the Celebrity Ascent following a b2b on the Mardi Gras. Our minds were blown by the decor, food and entertainment.

I am never in my room, only to sleep and shower, makes no difference to me, sometimes I book balcony sometimes I book window, sometimes inside cabin.

I just book 7 nights on Celebrity Equinox, a concierge level balcony cabin for my wife and I. All soft drinks, bottled water, designer bottled water, Red Bull, juices, specialty coffees, and a high-end unlimited alcohol drink package. $3200.00USD for both people, including taxes and prepaid tips. It’s our first cruise, we live close to Port Canaveral, 15 minutes actually. They are highly rated with a lot of loyal, repeat customers with positive reviews, raving about service, cleanliness, and gourmet food.

Driving up the drink price package will just mean more people will sneak on alcohol. I used to sneak alcohol on board and never got caught. But now I don't hardly drink, so it's no big deal to me.

The fact that the drink packages dont carry over to the private areas is absolutely insane and then they want to ding you again. I've been sailing with them for almost 10 years now and we are done.

As an ex-Navy type, a cabin with no ocean view feels normal. If I want to look at the ocean on my cruise, I'll find a bar with a view and stare at the ocean with a fine scotch in my hand.

Just got off carnival and I'm not a fan. They are rather sneaky with their drink/ souvenir cup charges. This cruise line is not what I'm used to.

Is there diet soda available?

I'm a big fan of the plamers' lip balm, the only brand i use.

I think RC has the best bang for your buck. Especially if you live in Florida. You can stack cruise nights “points” much quicker with the short cruised booking a suite; those get you double rewards.

On my first cruise, I was terrified someone was going to fall over the balcony and disappear into the dark water. My second cruise, I didn’t book a balcony for our group, and I had a good time.

I get sicker with inside cabins. The fresh air and being able to see the horizon keeps me from getting sick.
