5:30 In India, if you ever need anything from a government official, all you need to do is dangle a few thousand rupees in front of them and they will bend over backwards to get it done. It is extremely commonplace to give bribes when completing simple tasks like getting your drivers license. Even if you cannot successfully do the tests (which are already extremely lenient), a bribe will get you your license. It is even more egregious because people who can drive properly usually will not get their license unless they pay a bribe - the test administrator decides who has passed and failed before the test even begins. Even for something like transferring of property documents to the owner of a newly built house (called a "Khata transfer"), most people will pay bribes to government officials to get it done. When done by the books, the actual cost should be 2% of the stamp duty. Bribery is overall extremely pervasive in the machinery that runs government institutions here. It is the norm, and people who do not pay bribes (for example, my entire family), have to move heaven and earth to do things the legally correct way.

14:45 tax cuts for the rich is probably one of the main factors why our infrastructure is literally crumbling before our eyes. The slashing of taxes results in fewer dollars being spread across too many problems, leading to budget deficits and infrastructure degredation. Edit: now that I've thought about it more, the main problem for infrastructure specifically could be budget planners ignoring replacement costs of existing infrastructure, or cutting funding for accounts set aside for infrastructure replacements

It's crazy that people still don't get the difference between millionaires and billionaires. If you have $1 million and spend $100,000 a year, you will spend all your money in 10 years. If you have $1 billion and spend $100,000 a year, you will spend all your money in 10,000 years. And if the money is in a savings account with a 1% interest, a billionaire will still make money if they only spend $100,000 a year.

Will say though, (i know edits can change the actual media a lot) but the reason i wrote that comment was not to be all doomsday like and say factually this and that, it was more so to illustrate a point through an exageratted (yet stupidly enough, possible) scenario. More straight forward, the point being that watching that video I felt the vibe of "damn, I would not be suprised if people left this video with many wrong views and bad perspectives". Big A makes a lot of jokes, does a lot of irony (maybe too well hidden at times), chat goes haha om.. Buuut, a lot of people actually can't see that (u know who I'm refering to), If you dare, I encourage you to go look at the answers that was left on my comment which Atrioc read. It kinda proved my point; Jokes aside, there's a lot to this story, and very, and I mean VERY, few americans know about even basics (which is totally fair of course, though..), yet many (IMO also a bad side of Big A in that specific vid) speak with this "authority" on the subject. The thing about aviation parts being super expensive. You cant be 25000 ft in ghe air and not have an absolutely reliable cable or bolt. The combination of forces, signal noise and changes in environment, requires the absolute best way to connect, and then keep, two or parts together. I do think that millitary contractors scalp their parts, but to consider that a tested and certified cable, on a jet aircraft going mach 2, can be replaced by a 10$ cable is kinda fumb to me.

I will preface this by saying I really enjoyed the rest of the video but I feel like I need to chime in on one part because it honestly kind of bothered me. 15:04, I agree with nearly everything you said in response, taxes need to be made infinitely simpler to understand, loopholes need to closed. However I personally do not find the argument of "If they don't fix it and I pay my taxes and someone else doesn't so I fall behind them" to not be at all compelling. You might not mean it this way, and if that is the case I would love to see a response, but this sounds like your income is already in the category of 'keeping score' rather than having any meaningful impact on your quality of life. It comes across as incredibly out of touch and part of the problem because it's quite literally why people like Musk and Bezos want even more despite there being nothing they could buy with another 100B to increase their quality of life that they can't already buy with the money they currently have. The comparison to league feels strange because having lots of money isn't a competition, or at least it shouldn't be in my eyes. Again, yes to everything else you said on the topic, tax loopholes shouldn't exist, but saying the game is rigged and other people don't play by the rules so why should I isn't gonna improve a damn thing.

"They go out on the range and shoot all day to spend money" Literally one of the jobs in the military is to "dispose" of "old" ammunition 💀 Good ol' U S of A. (I am aware that yes over time ammunition does "expire" i.e natural degradation, potential water damage, any other forms of potential damage any goods might endure while in long term storage, But this is something they do on a very regular basis, I'm not in the military and cannot confirm how often this happens but one of my close friends was in the military and this was his primary job.)

as a tax accountant i will say the tax system in our country has gotten out of control. I just don't know how you fix it at this point without scraping the whole thing. individuals like you and me should definitely have a system that is way more straight forward and simplified. however i think that businesses should still be taxed in ways that are more nuanced and require more requaltion/law to regulate since they should be held to a higher standard. also i saw an unrealized tax being thrown around by the harris admin and that is the stupidest shit ever. just look at denmark and i think sweden introduced it. it's stupid.

People avoiding conscription is a big issue in Ukraine right now, since the country is short on manpower. A very interesting thing I noticed reading news about this was, that when these draft dodgers were interviewed one of the top reasons was that they didn't wanna go when they knew so many people who just bribed their doctors etc to get out of it. Many would say that they knew on some level that it's good and the right thing to do but I guess didn't want to be the one "sucker" that goes be cannon fodder when so many others are just wiggling their way out of it. Now, obviously it could just be cope on their end or trying to shift the blame to other people in the case of something as dangerous as military service, but this video strongly reminded me of that situation regardless.

Big A, just to clarify, while historically Denmark has wanted to keep sovereignty over Greenland, for a long time now we have worked towards Greenland becoming completely independent. It's actually unpopular with the right leaning parts of Denmark that Greenland is still somewhat a part of Denmark, since Greenland cannot keep up their standard of living without economic help from Denmark. So while a common rhetoric from a vocal minority of Greenlanders is they don't want to be a part of Denmark, and the right wing people of Denmark wants to sever ties with Greenland, the vast majority of both countries recognize the need for a continued working relationship between our countries for the time being

The reason why these videos are great is because it's creating even more engagement amongst the Atrioc community, it shows that he isn't out of touch with his viewers. :)

Have you considered using a whiteboard marker on your monitor in order to better emphasize your points?

I know this gets thrown around for alot of people but it's crazy how much better the world would be if someone sane like atrioc was president right now. there's so many issues that can be fixed fairly quickly by just being a normal, educated, empathetic person

There is an important distinction, Trump didn't say he would use military force against canada/greenland: he said 'no' he wouldn't refuse to use them. There is no need to weaken his negotiating position by taking military and economic threats off the table, though given his stance on conflict globally I doubt he'd actually start a war for land.

Big A should just buy a smart board. Then he can do the whiteboard and the ms paint at the same time. Double the writing, double the engagement.
