Yes, it’s taken me so long to realise that what I see as my negative emotions/thoughts are a necessary part of who I am. I might not like them, but I have to accept them and can even use them to help make my life less chaotic. Ren shifted my perspective with his speech at the end of “Hi Ren”.

Love that you reacted to his 1M video, Ren’s music has saved my life more than once. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and have struggled with misdiagnosis and pointless medication for literally half my life. Ren’s words and music inspire me everyday. Never apologize for having emotions. Believe me us Renegades know pain and would never judge someone who feels deeply. While I love this speech it's hard to watch knowing Ren is having a major health issue. I don't normally fall for the whole parasocial trap but Ren makes us all feel like we are his friends. This is such a brilliant video to understand Ren and to understand why the RENegades love him so dearly. He is not just a brilliant artist but a beautiful human being who genuinely just wants to lift others up and inspire positive change in the world. If you have travelled far enough down the rabbit hole, none of this is surprising because it shines through in his art. Ren is authentic and not afraid to be vulnerable. But this video is still very much worth watching because of how eloquently he expresses his wisdom and gives us all hope. As Ren reminds us, we are all just flawed humans and that’s okay. Clearly any flaws of Ren just makes him more beautiful and inspirational for the rest of us. The world needs Ren.

While I can't even imagine what the man has been through, I believe each of us have gone through issues in life- psychological and physical, that Ren has a way of putting in words that many people can relate to. While he didn't specifically use the term karma, Ren spoke of being in touch with our humanity. Respect oneself so you can respect others. Life is a tough road, but when we encounter an obstacle, turn your head to the side, and you'll see others walking beside you. They will help you, and in turn, when they have chasm to cross, you'll be there for them. 🧸

It's arguably Money Game 4: it came out at the conclusion of Ren's money game competition/social experiment in the leadup to the release of MG3, and to me it brings the whole Money Game trilogy home, beyond the theoretical, the practical, the philosophical, the personal- even while it is very much all of those things. Sadly, lamentably few reactors react to it and I reckon you'll really get it. Ya might cry though, there's a point where I always do, even after fk knows how many times... @@JohnnyFoxtrotshow Mate, when ya do come to the land of snags, sangers, meat pies, roos and dunny-bees make sure you come to Gippsland (Gippy), East Gippsland especially (although Sth Gippy is bloody nice too) It's in Eastern Victoria, a couple of hours from Melbourne with a $10 train ticket. I'll hook ya up. I'm in Sale (population about 10k but I can walk 10 minutes from home and be among beef/dairy farmland, or on a dirt track in native bushland and/or wetlands) (or walk 5 minutes north to the shopping centre, MacDonalds, KFC, supermarkets etc lol) and within about a 20-60 minute driving radius we've got the 90 mile beach, (yep, the name ain't real creative but it is accurate, and it's pretty pristine, and hardly any bugger ever goes there except around Easter, Australia Day weekend and christmas/new year's =Sweet as a nut the rest go the time, mate!), and there's various flavours of bush habitat, and 'roos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, emus, wedge-tailed eagles etc etc, a bunch of inland lakes with great fishing, and just a bit further there's mountainous wilderness and high plains with wild horses (called brumbies, they're non-native/feral, but kinda protected and kinda culled a bit) and the stunning Lakes Entrance, Snowy River, Croajingolong National Park (beaches, bush tracks, wilderness, whale watching, a historic lighthouse etc etc). Or go west for seals, fairy penguins, more whale watching etc etc. The downsides, and somewhat less spectacular: a few occasionally aggressive bogans and boof-heads, quite a few nellie blighs and butcher's canaries in summer, big hungry noahs (sharks), the occasional angry emu (quite capable of killing ya), Eastern ring-tailed dropbears, a few kinds of vaguely scary spiders, about half a dozen species of the world's deadliest snakes, and some fcking savage black swans at the local lake. Only one of those things is made up. You'll be fine if ya shout a round of beers at the pub, learn the Aussie salute, stamp your feet when walking in the bush, never kick a stick, ALWAYS check your sleeping bag and shoes for snakes and spiders before inserting any body parts, don't swim if ya see shark fins, and VERY IMPORTANT: immediately surrender your sandwich (sanger) to any emu or swan that gets scary at you. The only thing that really scares me shitless is those bloody swans, especially if I don't have a sanger handy, they're f*cking savage brutes! Fun fact: the deadliest creatures in Australia (apart from humans) are horses, then (I think) cows.
