Even if your parents don't pressure you to be a successful athlete. When you are talented and care for your hardworking parents, you will apply that peessure to yourself. Additionally, when people consistently praise your talents and abilities, it hits that much harder when you don't achieve your dream. The tunnel vision that you develop trying to be great at that one thing because there's NO possible way you can fail is a double-edged sword. You've never imagined yourself as anything but that thing and plan B - Z never feel quite "right" Love that you've escaped that dark place, it takes a long time and many people become lost. I wish you continued growth in both wealth and health 🙏🏾

all you needed was ramen and a headband and you and dude on the wall would have been twins. a lot of the stuff you talked about are reasons why i'm kind of torn when it comes to the nfl especially but honestly most pro sports. i love all sports without exception really but i've noticed exactly what you've said. having dated nothing but athletes on various levels in my life thats exactly what they do. basically hype your head up telling you all good things but wont be real with you. there are so many men who are stellar athletes but they do have some spots mentally or personality wise or lifestyle wise that are hinderances. they should be told i agree fully. help these young men grow into full men not just killer athletes in sport and then they are lacking in other areas because they honestly werent told or didnt know how to look for things in themselves to improve. this is long AF but great talk i really enjoyed it. you're on the money. keep it coming i think you might be what the right kind of sports youth needs. keep your head up thanks for the honesty and vulnerability there is a ton of strength in that. ok i'll shut up now LOL

I have never been gifted like you at anything , I Put a lot of work in to the things that I want / Mean a lot to me and When things don't go as well as I was expecting after putting all the work I do it gets Me really down ( I've contemplated suicide a lot of times ) . So I do kinda of get where you are coming from But I never had the pressure that you had on your shoulder being Told I was great or knowing I was great and then not having what people told Me would happen and didn't happen .
