T de Lioncourt this is true: if I had to rank, it’d be 1) greatest showman 2) moulin rouge 3) la la land. But I also understand moulin rouge is divisive for many people. I recently talked to someone who was like ‘I had to stop it 20 minutes in’. Yeah, you’re supposed to SKIP the first 20 minutes. 😂

The movie itself doesn’t really deserve more appreciation than it already has. Will Gluck is pretty average if not downright corny and untalented as a filmmaker. His movies all have a “oh I’m so quirky and fun” vibe that’s very annoying. Emma Stone saved Easy A, the dialogue itself was horrendous but she delivered it so well. She carried the whole thing, so yeah, Easy A is not underrated.

Emma mentions that she had "full sob fests" for 3 out of the 9 times she's seen "La La Land," and it always made me wonder if she ever thought that the movie has become her reality regarding her relationship and love for Andrew Garfield. Just think about it. When they both started dating since working together in The Amazing Spider-Man, both Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were average actor/actress that were fairly known in the industry, but weren't worldwide famous just yet. They eventually split up, just like Mia and Sebastian, and continue to pursue in their careers. Emma wins an Oscar for Best Actress for "La La Land," and Andrew gets nominated for his role playing Desmond Doss in "Hacksaw Ridge" (while having another career performance in the underappreciated film "Silence") which elevated both of them into top elites in the Hollywood industry as well as having the status of worldwide fame. They both achieved their dreams, just like how Mia and Sebastian did in "La La Land," yet Emma and Andrew never got back together with their relationship. Perhaps realizing how similar their lives have become to the ending of "La La Land" may have attributed to her sob fest for hours. Had they stayed together and never split from the first place, would they be exactly where they are today with the same achievements in the movies they played in? Most likely not. There would've been a lot of compromises to be made. Just like in "La La Land" they couldn't have it all. It was one or the other. Just a thought.

I've still only seen La La Land once, in the cinema. The Help I've seen maybe 3 times. I've seen Superbad twice, around 2008 and 2016. Zombieland once around 2015. Easy A a solid 9 times probably. I need to watch all her other stuff. Emma Stone, man. Great actress, great person.

I am in Love with La La Land. Greatest movie EVER!!! I have watched it 21 times.... NO joke. probably listened to the soundtrack at least 100 times. I could live to be 100 years old and never watch a better movie than La La Land. It truly is the absolute best movie I have ever seen in my life. E.T. and Forrest Gump are right behind it. Then Slumdog Millionaire and Titanic.

Emma Stone is so bloody awesome in Easy 1. I've rewatched it a few days ago. The writing is great, but she made it a classic.

La La Land is one of my all time favorites. I actuall went to the theatre to see that 4 times! But I so wished I had gone to see to see it when people could sing along to it in the theatres. That would have been fun. Ive memorized the words from listening to it on CD a hundred times. Emma Stone: THANK YOU!!

La La Land changed my life. I don't know what it was; the fact that I live in LA, the fact that I was stuck in a rut when I watched it, the fact that I'm a sucker for outstanding cinematography and music, the appreciation I have for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. It's one of my favorite movies of all time; hands down.

Emma Stone > Jennifer Lawrence. Way more real to the characters. Jenn I find force acts and seems to play a lot of her characters the same. Weinstein owned her

I don’t understand the love for Jennifer Lawrence, I find her acting is awkward and forced, Emma Stone seems to be more like herself and more fitting to the roles.
@user-ge2gx5ch8u
@user-ge2gx5ch8u 7 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Lawrence's personality also seems a little more forced, to be the kind of "laid-back, chill girl who doesn't care" whereas with Stone you get that naturally.

Agree! While some roles of Jennifer are pretty good most of the time you can tell that its her playing a role and her acting is not as nuanced. Emma on the other hand always blends into her roles, everything feels natural.

I've rarely related more to a sequence in a film than the Pocketful of Sunshine thing of absolutely hating a song so much I become obsessed with it and can't stop singing it. Nothing else about that movie is memorable to me, but Emma is charming in everything.
