Actually, it doesn't hit 120 every year, more like 2 or 3 times a decade, but count on it hitting 115 plus several days in a row just before the monsoon hits. Every time I hear Emma Stone tell the corset story I always wanna pat her head and say, "aww, sweetie... you know the costumers totally just manipulated you into tight-lacing that corset 'cause they liked the look, right?" 😂Literally has very little to do with historical accuracy (for the time period of her film "The Favourite", corsets/stays were mostly about emphasizing the bust, not the waist so, your organs should not be shifting noticeably by wearing one normally). But, I can just imagine a costumer being like "oh, it looks so pretty with a small waist, I'll just tell her it's supposed to be tied that tight". Poor Emma... costumers will always lie if they like the aesthetic!! 😅
