idk man ur smoking i have a lot of friends who have G87 M2 and they love it , they all come form different car backgrounds . Yes the car is numb i have a G42 M240 not the same car but feels similar , reason why we love this cars cuz its fast and safe its numb in the sense you dont feel the speed but it gives you confidence to haul ass to each their own in that price range i dont think you can get a better new car with that much performance

Once you have had tons of experience with other cars, the G-Chassis is a horrible “enthusiast” platform. Just give it more time. In this price range, a ZL1 1LE is the better car.

A car enthusiast doesn’t just span into JDM either so this comment looks a little funny… why not list more motors found in British cars, Italian supercars, etc, etc? A car enthusiast knows the entire spectrum of automobiles, not hung up on one specific genre. But yes, also love the motors you listed, mostly K series, JZ, RB, B series.

Older sports cars in general have better feedback mainly due to things like hydraulic steering and old-fashioned cable brakes as opposed to brake-by-wire. As for the G series M cars, the only thing universally praised about it is the S58 motor, with tuners declaring it to be "the next 2JZ". If that's the case, I do hope people buy these cars in droves so that 15-20 years from now, we have a big "parts bin" for engine swaps. Imagine something like an S58 swapped BRZ or Silvia (though the SR20DET is legendary in its own right), but I do think the A90 Supra will be the most common donor vehicle. On a side note, one of my favorite current sports cars is the ND MX-5. Somehow, they managed to keep the weight to just over a ton (1,058kg), and it has all the creature comforts you need (heated seats, touch screen infotainment etc.), not to mention its price doesn't break the bank. The ND's weight savings really show the other manufacturers (not just BMW) that they have no excuses not to do the same. The only major issue with the ND is the numb electric steering, but then again, even the fabled Honda S2000 had complaints about its electric steering. I hope your Toyota Chaser brings you many smiles with every mile.

If only I had more money. I plan to save up money somehow and sell my stock 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8. Then, I would like buy a G87 M2. It's amazing how people can afford these cars and then sell them like that. The Alpha-N spoiler wing and better rims improves the appearance of the G87 M2 immensely. My car is rated at 348 horsepower. It's the fastest car I've been in so far.

I’m confused as hell as to why you even bought this in the first place since you said you drove a xdrive G80? Not sure if you’ve ever driven a non xdrive G80/82 but even with xdrive, it should’ve given you an idea of how the G87 would drive.

Yes had driven plenty of G8x. They were fun for the short periods I had them. Maximum of 4 days. I never really push other peoples cars that hard. Takes a few months to really figure out opinions on a car. That’s the problem with modern car reviewers. They have them for a maximum of 5 days. Usually only gets the surface level stuff.

G87 owner here and to be honest went into the video thinking this guy is smoking crack but watched the whole thing and honestly I agree with alot of your complaints. Is the steering numb? ✅ I’m always correcting the direction of the car even though my steering wheel doesn’t move at all. Do the brakes suck? ✅ I wouldn’t say the issue is with stopping power but exactly as you said inconsistency in how hard it brakes/feel. Even at a red light in either sport or comfort braking the pedal seems to travel super far down even though the car fully stopped a lot higher up on the pedal. Trying to bring my foot back up to the point where it dead stopped the car would just start moving forward grinding through the brakes. Sounds too raspy? ❌ Coming from a once fully stock B58 to a fully stock S58, I will have to disagree and say the S58 sounds better. At least in the new cars/full stock. Is CarPlay trash? ✅ shit is so fucking bad I have no idea what they did drive 7 was better in terms of connectivity even though that was suspect as well. Exactly what you said. Also side note they removed the manual climate control settings so you can’t activate seat warmer or steering wheel at specific temps. Also my car every time I turn it on turns on the heater and there is no way to turn it off in the settings. Used to be able to do all that in idrive7. For me I don’t think I could ever find a “perfect” car but I love the S58, I love the M2, and I love cars with 0 miles on them. Really the only way for a factory “S58 Supra” even though it weighs way more than one would. Don’t think JB4 is the way to go either but tuning for this specific chassis is in it’s baby stages so def if you’re looking for power down the line you’d get a lot more outta a flash tune than a piggyback. Gonna be keeping mine stock for now…

The JB4 is great… although I do work for Burger Motorsports. Full transparency. The car sounds good stock, but the more you keep deleting items from the exhaust, the worse it gets. I definitely think this new “GRMN” Supra will be the better car.

@@candmediaDont have an M2, I have an M3 and a X5 Hybrid, the X5 has the clock that wont change on iDrive 8.5. Haha thank God for carplay...when it works! Checked out the M2 though and it was too cheap inside. I swear it smelled like a VW, low quality material. The doors felt cheap. Im sure performance wise its good, but all of the base models with a manual have the exact same 0-60 and quarter mile times, so I went with the M3 (manual). I think the M3/M4 front end looks better too, actually. Especially with the aftermarket CSL grill. I had an F87 M2 Comp and the seats in the New M2 are the best part, if the F87 had the G87 seats, it'd be perfection! I think a used G87 in 4 years will be a good buy.

bro ngl the reality is with most new cars you're not gonna get the type of "driver's car" feel you're talking abt. new cars are mostly designed to prioritize a mixed experience, and bmw certainly understands this subtlety. fewer and fewer people are looking for "drivers cars", esp stock, and bmw knows that 90% of the people paying $70k for an m2 want somehting that isn't as compromised as a stage 5 supra etc. i ordered my 2025 m2 manual as an enjoyable daily, not so much an enthusiasts fav car

F87 comp is gonna be peak M2. Mark my words. Had no problems with android auto, like 0. However I had the NH2 brakes. I got carbotech xp8 and motul fluid and man, it was a WHOLE another car. Just saying, if brakes where the only issue.

I do daily - I have had a black G87 manual since Nov last year, as well as a AMG GLC63. Had a E46 M3 for 15 years. Sold an F80 M4 to buy the M2 so I have a bit of experience with these cars. There's no better car point to point than the M2. Solid as a rock, gets better with every mile and fills its brief superbly.@@candmedia

Too young for my cars I worked for and paid for? I chose not to go to school and parties, not wasting my youthful age to throw down the toilet and wait until I'm older to start enjoying the things I love. Finished high school early, planted myself in the car industry 3 years ago and am building my own media company now. I'm incredibly grateful for the things I have and the life I get to live now because of it. If you think the M2 is an expensive car then I think that shows more of your financial goals more than anything. I love the now, but also can't wait to have my future garage with all of my favorite cars.
