Kind words Mark, thank you. I loved my job, it was brilliant but I was ready for retirement as I was becoming a dinosaur and I have loved every minute of it. Retirement is great but you need two things to take advantage of it. 1. your health & 2 you need to be able to afford to retire. I seem to have done so much in the 7 years that I have been retired for & so much more to do. See you in the next video👍

Hi there Martin, firstly I have missed your dulcet tones on KZbin. I love your outlook on life that the haters on KZbin are just ignored, watch it or don't period. With regards the products they seemed to work and although your car was filthy those are the really satisfying details. It is the content creators that put up a video where the car is spotless when they start Pan the Organised springs to mind. How can we see if a product works? You are right when did we ever find the time to actually go to work before retirement. Last week was the first time all three cars were clean and protected but I have not as yet had a whole day to do my spring decon wash, Iron & Tar treatments before polishing and decide which of my M & K waxes to put on each of the cars. I did like the water behaviour of that wax it reminded me a little on the Gyeon wax which I have put on a couple of other cars I look after and the water behaviour is really good. I am always a little guilty when I don't use M&K products and hope John doesn't read my comments but on my cars I am true to his brand at least mostly. I watched content from Status detail recently where he put Gyeon Cure onto Gyeon wax as an LSP which added to the gloss and protection. I will be trying this method on a car soon because I have a bottle that I have not used since I bought it 18 months ago. As usual I hope we see more content from you going forward as I for one value your opinion and ethos in the world of detailing. Thanks.

@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I can understand that, when I had a motorbike I was desperate to get out on it as soon as the weather improved. I now have my electric mountain bike to take up more of my time but at least I can get it on my tow bar rack and drive to a destination and indulge in two of my favourite things and if the car gets dirty it's a bonus as I can justify cleaning it when I get home. Yes we are lucky that we are at an age that we can enjoy the things that give us pleasure without having to work. Enjoy.

I've almost got the whole M&K range now, including a fair few waxes. My favourite just now is Ameliorate. With the exception of the odd product from GT, Soft 99 and Yum, I almost exclusively use M&K now, they're so good. John Johnsons' a good guy, no BS and extremely knowledgeable but modest with it. It's nice to see Martin trying some M&K. I seem to be on my own in finding Bilt Hamber pretty average on the whole, and don't buy into it when the likes of Jon Deliu constantly rave about them. You can always rely on Martin to keep it real and say it how it is.

So you would recommend Ameliorate then. I did a minor restock in the sale and nearly bought that wax but instead bought Honey V3 not that I have used V1 or v2 but I have them in my collection. My own car has Aegis on it which I really like on top of Titan. The water behaviour is very good and the gloss. I think the next two of my waxes to be applied to mine and the wife's car will be Ivory & Elegance replacing Rannoch that is on our Jag. I have all the liquids except the Ceramics not that I have used one or two of them but there is not anything that I have used that is not a good product in my opinion. I just don't think that the range gets the appreciation that they deserve. I too think that JJ is very knowledgeable and I really enjoy our long and detailed discussions when I visit the factory which is !0 minutes from my home.

Hi Martin, your usual top notch workmanship as we all expect & know you for. Your comments about other people are spot on, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Ref your pressure washer mrrping, that sound if due to it re pressurising due to a leak, just check the O ring seals on all your joints & connectors, chances are you'll soon find one that's got a slighg leak. Nice to see your car dirty for once, that means you're using it, which is what it's for. Take care & enjoy Retirement!

The water run off on that looks on par with a true ceramic coating. Unbelievable for a wax. In terms of gloss, the best i think ive ever seen your car look was when you used the 303 graphene spray. I dont know if it was just the lighting at the time but it had a lovely gloss and i think you commented on how good it looked. Ive been using a few of the DIY Detail products lately and very impressed with them.

yep really pleased with the end result but not sure what the longevity is although that's not of interest as its normally cleaned on a regular basis. The 303 was a good product my only issue with it is it didn't last as long as advertised & I hate it when people are conned through misinformation. Not tried DIY Detail and not seen many reviews so maybe I give them a try on my next shop

Cheers mate, my issue turned out to be the connection to the output hose. It had become sticky and wasn't quite locking shut but a 14lb sledge hammer convinced it otherwise (joke)
