Shipping parts from the UK would no doubt be expensive but over here we have all-steel ‘narrow boats’ on the canal system which by tradition have a stove (coal or wood burning). New stuff for them is still produced. They’ve been around for a couple hundred years. The boats are typically 35-60 feet long by 6 ft 10 ins wide so you can imagine the dimensions of the burners and the pipe work. Just a suggestion.

Sorry to hear you were feeling unwell last week, I was disappointed there was no video, but your health comes first and I realise how long it takes to edit these videos so I understand. You should be really proud of yourself being able to work the placings and fit the wiring, flue and ceiling panels back on yourself without any help, congratulations. I really appreciate the effort you make every week and I’am thoroughly enjoying every episode and your narration is like we are in the van with you. It’s crazy that the chimney pipes cost more the the log burner, but thats the way things are, they suck you in with reasonable price for an item, then the accessories cost the earth. Can’t wait for the next one, but make sure you are well as you are still coughing. Take care and as always love you channel. I’m even getting into your travel videos and find the interesting showing your travels. I’m in Scotland, Uk, so it still amazes me how you think nothing of traveling 5-6 hundred miles. Keep up the good work and congratulations again, love it❤🏆

Great video, as always. The ceiling & trim looks beautiful. Having a woodstove in a bugout camper has always been a dream of mine, but everyone always says "You can't do that!. It's not safe!" Well, I have recently started telling them to "Bugger off, because I have seen it done on the KZbins!" @n4mwd4 күн бұрын
That stuff is crazy expensive. You might want to check out slim Potatohead's video where he installed a wood burning stove in his camper. He used a double vented pipe that came with the stove. The outer space is the air in, and the inner space of the vent pipe is the exhaust. Other than that, a lot of people are using cheap Chinese diesel heaters. I hope it works out for you.
@kevinholland41564 күн бұрын
Slim's is a Dickerson propane stove. It's what a lot of boats in Canada use for heat. Dickerson also make a diesel stove.

It's a little late now, but did you look at marine supply houses? I know they make wood stoves for boats; they are usually tall, cylindrical, and stainless is a must in a marine environment. Probably come with boat sized prices though. You are doing great, especially for a guy recovering from being in the dumps for a week. Please cook off that galvanized coating before you paint those pipes. Thank you for all your efforts!

I don't understand why more people wouldn't have purchased a mini multi fuel stove. They are close to the price of a wood stove and you can use wood, coal, pellets. Nice to use coal in winter at night because it will last all night. I recently purchased a Vevor 8 kw diesel heater for back up in my RV. Very nice build.

I'm pretty sure you might want to do a metal guard to reflect the heat away from the wall ,on the sides and back of the stove .Over time heating and cooling tend to dry out any wood ,even if you tile it or use durarock

A double wall elbow would be very difficult and expensive to build. Probably why they don't provide them. People been using elbows in their flues for hundreds of years. Just make sure your pipe sections funnel into each other or else creosote will leak every where.
