I'M GETTING RID OF THE BOSS MS-3

This tiny one looks the best solution to use together with external amp. It's MUCH smaller than GT100, cheaper than GX-100, and has both AMP CTL and MIDI same time like expensive flagman GTs. No one chinese processor has amp control feature except Line6 HX Effects, which is twice expensive. Great choice.

I don't quite get the point of this video, mate. The MS-3 has so many more FX options to offer than it gives you free space on your board, unless you opt for a different Multi-FX unit. You've freed up space for 2-4 different pedals depending on their size. Hard to recreate the tonal possibilities of the Boss MS-3 with this amount of pedals. That being said, I think the quality of the MS-3 time-based effects is a little behind its competition. The HX Effects for example has so many great Delay and Reverb sounds, while the only usable reverb I get out of the MS-3 is the Plate. Good luck on your endeavours.

MS3 is better in 4cm than HX FX as far as tone suck. Boss is soo and I’ve hardly noticed any tone loss with any amp.

Do you think the harmonist in Ampero Stomp 2 is good enough after the DSP improvement update? I have an Ampero One but it lacks options .. Cheers from Brazil!

For me, it sounds close enough and is workable. However, if it is not only for pedalboard space issues, I'd still go with Boss. If I had the space and the chance, I'd go with the Harmonist stomp box. But for this scenario, ampero is good enough.

How did you set up the s-bend effect? Having problem with mine doing that. Everytime i toggle it, it doesn't have the "bend effect" just straight to octave.

Thank you! I haven't explored using the midi capabilities of ms3 and ampero. For this type of rig, I run the ms3 through the effects loop of the ampero so that I can put ampero effects before and after the ms3 in the signal chain.

@@AaronSopungco do you ever use petals in the MS three or are you primarily using most of the pedal and drive effects from the ampero? how are you getting your “stage” sound so you can hear yourself on gigs (not church gigs because your probably monitoring from in ears, but your venue or club gigs)

My main drive is a Strymon Riverside but I use a lot of pedals/effects from MS3. That's why my tone revolved greatly around it. I use TS9, Mods, Delays, basic reverb, compressors for cleans, slicer, and harmonist from the MS3. Before "getting rid" of ms3, I only use the ampero for amp&cab sims, EQ, and wah. For gigs with amps, I just turn off my amp and cab sims from the ampero and keep everything else the same.
