How refreshing to have a good news story. It is good to know that a few people in the USA care about their fellow citizens. Hopefully your actions will spur others to do something similar.

Pollution (and noise) diminution is the real impact that EV have today, sadly not much CO2 reduction, but anybody living in Bs As city can confirm what an issue is smog.
@austinmeyer3 жыл бұрын
"sadly not much CO2 reduction".. I love in SC, the stae most powered by NUCLEAR in country. Buses here are powered by a few ATOMS... no CO2 in the mix. Moving to VT soon... we get power there from Quebec Hydro: That's water falling down a hill. And no excuse to not use nuclear reactors, esp including breeder reactors to burn up our nuclear waste. There's no need for an ounce of CO2 in the game.

@@austinmeyer Forget my ignorance. I am in living North Europe, we switched frome nuclear to Russian gas. What happen in Germany when it rains or there is no wind? They switch to coal!! BTW I live in Endhoven NL, 100% public transport is electric. No noise, no pollution... big change from my old city, Buenos Aires, full of Diesel Buses.

Any reason a propane powered bus would not be more practical than electric for reducing immediate exposure to harmful fumes?
@bruceyboy73493 жыл бұрын
Interesting question. I've had a quick look at the biggest practical problem seems to be fuel source. Either way, electric is better than diesel so that's a solid improvement out of the box.
@asho17353 жыл бұрын
@@bruceyboy7349 our school busses run busy routes and the same bus often serves elementary middle and high schools on a very tight staggered schedule. How does the range of an electric school bus compare to diesel and what is the refueling delay? Is the bus going to be ready for the afternoon routes? Just wondering.
@bruceyboy73493 жыл бұрын
@@asho1735 I've no idea. You'd need to talk to the people in your area to understand the practicalities of running such services with the schedules they have. Do they have an infrastructure for propane buses?

@@bruceyboy7349 it's not necessary to respond if you have no answers
@bruceyboy73493 жыл бұрын
@@asho1735 Oh I see. You basically pose questions because you want to make a point but when your own position is found to be weak you don't answer questions you know the answer to because it is contrary to the point you want to make. Don't worry I've seen it a thousand times before with people like conspiracy theorists and other people with an agenda who merely focus on their ideology rather than the facts. You see, when teasing out facts it is a question of having a conversation to understand what could be learned from one another and I have now learned you have nothing to offer as is the norm. So my response to you is I'm not here to follow your orders and answer questions at your whim - go try and push your weak agenda elsewhere.
