a good tip is to heat the needle weight with a lighter and hold it with narrow pliers, then push it into the jig, then it will melt and never come off.

Spring coils. Make your own by wrapping stainless wire around a nail with a diameter that meets your application. Twist into plastic and trim with wire cutter.

Good stuff. I use clear electrical heat shrink tubing. Works really well and is pretty cheap.

I've always had my best luck using the zoom mag finesse worms. They're only 5" in length but they have a fatter overall profile so they take a nail weight well and pair nicely when using the VMC wacky/neko rings

I hate to say it…but that hit worm is my go to bait for the past 35 years, since I was a Marshall on our local lake. I couldn’t find them anywhere during the covid era a few years ago. It even out fished the Berkley flat worm! Also, try a clear piece of automotive shrink tube to put your hook through, then a small piece of the worms collar or wherever you hook your worm through. It makes your worm last way longer, even when fish are jumping and fighting, they don’t seem to throw the worms.

Hi Jordan! Good stuff on the Neko rigging. I was wondering if you were going to mention the neko hack plastic, and you did! 👍 Don’t get me wrong, I love the vmc bands since they run both ways…but the neko hack has worked for me very well too. God bless and wishing you and family an awesome Christmas!!!

Good video. I use that stuff you are showing but scent is important. I use Smelly Jelly. This pink stuff stinks bad, but the bass love it. It comes in a small jar from Tackle warehouse. It is about $9.00 a jar. It lasts a long time. I rub a little bit on the worm and boy does it work.

Man I've had a pack of Magnum hit worms that I've never done all that well with, but I tried nekko rigging it yesterday and you are totally right. Friggin MONEY
@kennylowe940429 күн бұрын
I love the magnum hit worm. I definitely want it on a crew lock if possible. The material doesn’t seem to “heal up” like standard plastic so it’s a lil harder to keep on a T rig set up. I would definitely use a band on the Neko also. Thanks for the tips JLee!

Very good info, we use this type of setup a ton here in NorCal but it’s nice to add a couple of rigging options. Thanks for sharing.

What you should have mentioned is the neko hacks excel in use for neko rigging creature baits and craw style baits. Awesome video!

Little thing I do with niko rig is slip in a small small skinny rattle in the tail and glue it shut, it works with the hit worm to sticking them in the bulb and just a dot of super glue to seal it shut

With spotted bass theirs a fine line of making your lure big enough to get their attention but small enough for them to bite it

I like it! Are your hook up ratio's any better with either the band or the hack?
@jordanlee1180Ай бұрын
I haven’t noticed a big difference on either one. Pretty good hookups overall

I'll be pouring drop shot worms Monday in Hanceville if you happen to be in the area. Love to get some of these prototypes in your hands and get your feedback. DJ's Bait & Tackle 205 Blountsville St NE Hanceville, Al 35077. These are not for sale. Developing these for Creme.

I am the same way with scent. I used to be real skeptical and still kind of am sometimes but just last weekend I won't say the product I was using but I put some scent on cast it out. My soft plastic Texas rig moved it. Probably 3 ft on the bottom. Just little bitty bumps before I knew it. Boom about a 2 and 1/2 pounder. Didn't put any more of the scent on. I casted back in the same area. Nothing. Nothing fourth cast. I added more scent then I casted it out. Let it sink. Go to pull up the slack. I notice my line is swimming off. Set the hook on a huge one. I don't even want to say how big cuz no one ever believes anyway. But I could easily fit my fist into her mouth. It was crazy. And I was like it has to be the scent

Iff. Your on a budget. And I live upper Mississippi River. ((. Which has jig monsters 👺 in it. 🥴😆)). Screw lock. Different sizes split shots. Take pinch on the size weight you think you need screw it in. Holds really well. And Iff you don’t like weight. Back screw out a bit take off split shot pinch on another. Screw back in. And Iff you brake off ain’t out much. Granted cheap split shots aren’t Tunston. But it’s an option.
