One of my favorite songs. I used to listen to this while I was high. It felt like an out of body experience. I was simply an observer of my thoughts. I was nihilistic before, but hearing this really made me change my view on life. There is more to life than trying to receive validation or to become famous. Society tries to put me in a role. Get a job and climb the corporate ladder. That’s not for me. I’m on my goal of making my own life path. I will say this song does make me a little depressed but is also up lifting.

An interestingly described opinion you have. I also think that the sense of simultaneously depressive and uplifting mood is caused by two separate conflicting paths, your own and the society determined one, as you said. It is sad you can't have happiness in 'usual' way as everyone expects you to but you know that you for yourself are pretty much defined in your actions I think. Actually a good thesis to discuss about: should you live absolutely for yourself, as only you wish no matter what others will think about you or have some strict principles on how to or not to behave, take actions, etc. ? And to answer not in terms of a common society member (e.g. such obligatory statement as "every man should do something useful for the humanity") but in purely your terms, simply how *you* would like to. Hopefully, stated my opinion correctly.

No one seems to be talking about the background and I’ll just say it. It invokes some nostalgia specially because it reminds me of walking through one of those emergency hospitals for kids, something about it felt quite off even with the knowledge of it being a hospital where people would help me. Sometimes I would feel alone in there and it would feel exactly how this image is shown. It brings me back with the colors and all, the walls the flooring, all of it. Feels out of place pretty much.
