This was Alvin Lee's, and thus The Ten Years After's breakthrough song at the Woodstock Festival, 1969, Day 3 (August 17th, at around 9.00 p.m.) It was a world-shaking performance despite some serious technical difficulties: due probably to high humidity the instruments run out of tune (to A = 449 Hz), recording of a few songs failed, and only the last one (this one) was filmed successfully. The soundtrack in this video is the original rendition that appeared on their second album, "Undead", in July 1968. It was also recorded live, at Klooks Kleek, Railway Hotel, London, on May 14 at the same year. As the producer of the album, Mike Vernon put it: "It's loud and tough - but honest", a statement still valid!!
