I'm going into Hospital for 3 months | specialist M.E./C.F.S ward

I'm going to Leeds National Inpatient Center for Pschological Medicine (NICPM) for 12 weeks, for intensive rehabilitation.
I am hopefully going to get help for my M.E./C.F.S, and will hopefully make some real progress physically.

Hi Connor. I have CFS and at present in the specialist unit in Leeds. Try not to be apprehensive. I know it's a big step. They do fabulous work here and the staff are so passionate about what they do. I'll come find you next week and look forward to meeting you.

Carry on. You will get better. I suffered from ME/CFS for ten years (much less severe than your case) but through careful small steps I did get better. Now, if stressed, I will have delayed reaction relapses, but I have leaned to manage these and my life is now basically back to near normal. Be filled with hope, Connor. You will get there. My thoughts are with you.

You are young. Don't be blind and overly trusting. You need a solicitor to make certain that you can leave at any point should you determine they are doing more harm than good. Make sure this is in writing BEFORE you commit yourself. Good Luck.

Yeah, it's an NHS hospital, you can walk out whenever you want. It even says it in the welcome pack. :)

Hi conner I wanted to send you all the very best for your upcoming hospital stay I turely hope you benefit from the treatment that you will recieve I will be very interested to hear how you get on I understand the pain frustration and isolation of ME well done for keeping on trying and keeping fighting for help you are a young man I am 61 and have had ME for 20 years very serve and bed bond for five now housebound with many rests in bed during day so I understand your pain send you all my love and great big hugs no matter what happens remember you are of great value in the world and a beautiful soul so never forget being unwell is not your fault you have no choice so be kind to yourself and know you are very brave ❤

Conor this must have been a huge step for you and I hope it's been in the right direction. I live in Scotland and wonder if we have anything similar. I'm sure you put your heart and soul into getting back to a baseline for you. I'd be interested to know how they stripped your illness back and started again. I often think I could do this in the hope I can be helped with caring for myself and learning pacing as I don't feel I'm good at this. You have a whole life ahead of you and my thoughts are your on the right road back to your life pre illness. Take care xxxx
