But i still would say - skill issue. Obsidian Time and many others already did vanilla bosses in calamity & etc. and with only 1hp. The only way for Throarbin to truly be the best is to prove his worth at the seed with mechdusa and clear it with the hardest mods such as calamity to further increase the skill ceiling, to go beyond what the skillful youtubers alike didn't reach yet. Be the first one who beat that seed with those hardest mods known to terraria-player in mastermode and you'll undoubtedly will become a legend for the entire community. Try telling me otherwise. There might be other challenges as hard as this but that's not what matters. If one doesn't reach for the skies, and only promises so, then that one will go down further than was going to go up

@bettergang2004 Personally I'd prefer to have fun with skill issue than try to accomplish impossible feats like that, I feel like it gets to a point where the game isn't fun anymore when you have to min max it like that, but that's just my feelings about it. I think Throarbin is the best because, as be proved with his one year one world videos, it is much more valuable to have fun with the game rather than just play to beat it. And I'm not saying you're wrong, it would be incredible to complete an impossible feat such as that, but at that point it'd just feel like a chore and I'm not sure it'd be worth it

I've beat the entirety of Master Mode on the Drunk seed, (In vanilla and recorded it) And I died many times. That skill issue just means that YOU are still learnings new ways to understand and do things. A skill issue doesn't mean you're bad. It just means that you are still learning, just like all the other folk in the world

Never felt like you were bad at the game at all, but the level of improvement is ASTOUNDING. The greatest one to be showcased? Your ability to diagnose and resolve the issue, hands down. THAT makes you the GOAT. I learned SO much about the bosses in this game, and how to design their arenas. Thanks to this video, some of the previous biggest hurdles to me have been trivialized, especially Golem. Now that I know to bop the fists first, he went from a boss I dreaded to one of my favorites. You have actually factually gotten so good that your skill is contagious.

Congrats on the nohit journey! Certainly did a whole hell of a lot for me 4 years ago. (Granted that was in calamity but still mostly applicable) It's a great step toward improving as you really start to see the bosses as patterns. Best mech destruction orders: Twins: Kill Spatz first. His green flames are gonna be a pain in the ass when you're fighting Retinazer. Skeletron Prime: -Lazer Arm (it's a spam attack with high damage) -Bomb Arm (It's a slow attack with high damage) -Vice/Saw (melee with low damage)

Great video! Also when you fight Deerclops I think you’re supposed to run through its legs. It only does ice spikes and it never turns invincible when you stay close and on the ground. Pattern is extremely predictable that way.

buddy. you seem to have a misconception. just because you haved played a game a LOT, doesn't mean it automatically makes you good, great or a expert at it. you are definitely better then the average player at terraria, heck, from my skill level, i view you as an expert. but here's the catch. you're still human, & humans make mistakes. there's no way to play completely, 100% flawlessly. its why i absolutely enjoy watching your hardcore runs. i learn new things & i improve on my own gameplay too.

For the mechs, I prefer fighting in the ocean. It slows down Retinazer's lasers, shortens Spazmatism's fire, and nerfs other projectiles as well. Still though, nice job not giving up!

Quite the undertaking to perform on the OG 1 year world. Most people who do no-hits have an ENTIRE WORLD dedicated to being the arena. Many attacks are fully intended to be dodged by just running in one straight line like EoC's continuous dashes. It's not always a cheese. It's literally the intended way to dodge (and sometimes the ONLY way to dodge consistently). I'd consider forcing arbitrary rules that accidentally lock out intended dodging methods to be a game-knowledge issue. Fortunately, it seems you were skilled enough to get by anyway.

With a lot of set up you can use the shrimpy truffle without rain, but it's still not going to help much in a fight with the Moon Lord without a ton more additional set up. All you have to do is set up bubble columns with liquid inside them. The buff only lasts about 6 seconds though, so it's not that reliable.

The best advice I can give for dodging retinazer with what's worked the best for me is move in a V shape with the laser barrage starting while you're on the ground and then dashing back the other way after your wing time runs out. I know you already beat the twins but for future times :)

Ok so this may be to late but when it comes to the destroyer there is a easy way. Either the normal star cannon or by defeating one of the other three mechs you can craft the super star cannon. By doing that you'd be able to kill the destroyer in around 1 second done correctly

I’ve never been that good at terraria, even though I’ve played it since around 2013 or 2014. I only ever play in expert mode and master mode scares me. I did have a lot of fun no hitting empress of light dying the day. I did end up going for a summoner build and just focusing on dodging, though. I guess I never really needed to get good because I’m overly reliant on the tools the game provides. Master mode makes you more reliant on skill than ever. I think the last play-through I did was on master mode , but I can’t remember if I beat the final boss in master mode or not. Anyways, I think I need to up my arena game. That’s probably where I’m lacking the most. I usually barely prepare and fly by the seat of my pants, hoping my tools and skills will shine through. That’s why empress of light during the day was manageable. I just needed and infinite flying mount (the broom) and my arena was the sky.

Well this one I did a little differently where storytelling is concerned. For general video making I always suggest sorting/scripting right after recording as most videos are going to include multiple sessions, so taking note of things can help tremendously with the video being more coherent. For this one specifically I followed a storytelling strategy that can be sums up the "plot" of a video as" what's the need? > How are you working towards that? > Setback/obstacle that puts achieving the need into question > victorious struggle towards victory

In normal mode the progression is technically: Slime > Skele > Bee > Eye > Worm In master mode it switches to : Slime > Eye = Bee > Worm > Skele Deerclops i am not sure on, same with The Lich… or really any of the events? I mean, most of them *can be attempted earlier that just about anything, yet, others … feel later than the bosses… i guess technically the old ones army at least *should be pre bosses since it does have an alternate version before them???? Snowman army is another curious one in progression line And technically torch god can be done with just two minecart lines near eachother…
