Hi Cody. Congratulations! As a dad of a 10 month baby here I can promise you are going to do great. As long as you love and care for your child, they will look at you like you are their whole world. My husband & I are proud parents of an amazing 27 yr old daughter. She's probably the funniest person I know & no one can make my husband laugh like she can. Humor was an important part of our near 30 yr relationship & we loved having fun being silly as parents. As far as worrying abt doing the right thing as a parent, my advice is to seek the advice of other parents you know & respect. And never let your kids see you two disagree in regards to parenting.

But you have people like Cody who genuinely understand that having a child is an amazing but scary thing. But is still so excited to become a parent. I've got three of my own and they are the best thing that's ever happened to me. Congratulations on enteriing the next phase of your life! Fatherhood is hard. Every day will be challenging. You'll have moments where you question yourself and why you decided to have these little monsters... but those moments are pale compared to the moments you have where you feel so much love and peace in the decisions you made. That little guy is going to look up to you in every way. They grow up REALLY fast, so if you need to take long breaks from YT to be with your family, that is A O K. I know there is very very valid reasons a parent is not involved in a child's life. I just wish more families had loving and devoted parents!
