There're two sequels to "Holes" called "Stanley Yelnats Survival Guide to Camp Green Lake" and "Small Steps" and iirc x-ray or armpit are in both of them. Tho in the survival guide xray only has a small cameo. But Small Steps resolves around them, if I remember correctly!!

This is my take on it: The narrator is saying they’re gonna be so big one day that they won’t need the person they’re singing to or anyone else. Like a wheel, which is often called one of the greatest and most useful inventions in history, the narrator will be able to stand on their own without anybody’s help and will be an icon. And they’ll just roll right past the people who held them back :)

there's a distorted electric guitar striking the chords. another electric guitar (no distortion) which is using a tremolo effect to make it shimmer. and then it sounds like a gospel organ using a rotary (or leslie) effect
