He brought nothing extra to the table against Barerra, no variance in his gameplan, no improvement in his technique , he naively believed that he could beat everyone in his weight class doing exactly the same as he as he had at european level. Barerra adapted.....fighting at FW for the first time, he turned boxer-puncher rather than brawler & the elite level boxers can do that, Hamed got taught a humiliating lesson in front of the world & no one comes back from that......he knew he could not beat Barerra in a rematch & that is why he did not implement his contractual immediate rematch clause.

Naz was a tricky fighter, very unorthodox. But his lack off fundamental boxing skills ultimately led to his demise at the hands of Barrera. Once he had lost Naz knew his game was up and would no longer work, he had no fundamentals to fall back on, so he ran away.

That was his ONLY loss, and he went the distance and wasn't knocked down. That's not a demise, that's a blip. The real reason he left was because he didn't like the long training and wanted to be more with his family.
