Thats a blessing seeing a young couple like you guys engaged and are a true godly couple. I'm turning 22 February 1st and I'm just waiting on God to bless me with the women my heart desires. Ppl think I'm too young to be trying to settle down but I don't think my age is too young. I don't care about what others think. I see you guys as a young couple and it's beautiful and a blessing. I'm just waiting for my right time. I pray for it to happen soon. Cause I also told god I want to get married at a young age. Its what my heart desires.

godsoldier216 Bro, you are too kind man. Thank you for those words and a happy belated birthday to you. I hope it was a blessing! I’ve gotten similar remarks after sharing my age with people, but age truly has no correlation to wisdom. Young, godly marriages provide even greater opportunities to experience the growth and blessings of maturing into adulthood together. My motto is to gracefully accept others’ opinions but let speculators speculate. Stay focused on Christ and everything else will fall in line. I’d encourage you to keep presenting those desires before God, bro and trust that His timing in all things is perfect - without question. I want to continue praying for you too, man. Feel free to send us an e-mail at worththewait18@gmail.com so that we can connect.

From mistakes and regrets to forgiveness and restoration - that's the Love of God! It's such a joy! We love you and hope you'll continue to make these awesome videos. ♡ Blessings to you our Brother and Sister in Christ!

Dying daily is THE key but we can so often get caught up in the busyness of life that we forget to surrender each and every day into His hands. And what a joy to know that we can never exhaust the tender love of God. We love you both too and we’ll do our best by the grace of God! Sending blessings to you and your fiancé on this journey. Enjoy every moment of it!

godsoldier216 That is the truth, my brother! Only God can truly satisfy. Others might bring smiles and good times for a moment, but God offers peace and happiness for eternity. Nothing can compare to His love and I’m thrilled that your walk is so much in tune with His voice. My fiancée and I are merely the average couple that God worked through to reach you; nothing special about us except the fact that we surrendered our love lives into His hands. I encourage you to keep rooting yourself in God’s Word and standing by His principles. God honors those who honor Him, and you’ll find that to be all the more important as you see everything else taking place around you. I am continually blessed by your testimony and your fervent heart for The Lord. Keep growing my brother!

Brandon this testimonial video was so heartfelt it's as though I lived in your words as you spoke you brought me through your pain and your healing. Indeed as a young person desiring and striving for better people may question our walk and it's sincerity but I'm glad that with Christ you can aim to walk and talk as he did when he dwelt among the living on earth. Your testimony was both powerful and enlightening you spoke to many men and women out there Who are still struggling with the duality of living for the world or by the word. Thank you for the courage to speak up and let people know you're real and that you've Chosen God to restore and purge your Temple in order that he might use you to further his work in your life and in those you meet in throughout your journey.

Amen Janet!! I know I already responded on FB but you can never go wrong giving God the glory one more time lol. It's incredibly challenging for young people (especially today) to discern between living for Christ and living for temporal pleasures. I know that in the midst of my struggles, it was such a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual battle. Nevertheless, it was the grace of God and His hand over my life that helped me to see the errors in my ways. I really had to open my heart for what God was trying to change in my life. I'm so thankful that even at my lowest points, He sustained me, gave me strength and quickened my faith so that I could press forward. Thank you so much again for your encouragement! :D

Bro, thank you for sharing your testimony. I have been watching your videos for sometime now and if you are TRULY happy and in a much better place now, then I truly support you and happy for you. With that being said, I want to push back on certain things that you've said and hope to have an open, constructive dialogue with you. The way you mention and describe sex, alcohol, and drugs was in a very negative, almost like in a "you should never do them" way. While I do believe that drugs, alcohol, and sex (especially drugs) can have a very harmful effect on people, what is more important it one's USAGE of these that makes them harmful to you, and not necessarily the act/objects themselves. I firmly believe and don't see anything wrong with one drinking (in moderation), having sex (in moderation and practiced safely), and even using drugs such as marijuana (for medicinal purposes). The problem becomes when these things become a problem and start affecting your daily, social, and work life. When these things start to become abuse and not done in moderation, then that's when they start to be viewed as intrinsically "bad." I hope that I've properly expressed my point of view. Just wanted to share my thoughts and start an open dialogue. I truly hope all is well bro. '06
@WorthTheWait10 жыл бұрын
What's going on Bro! Thanks for offering some very insightful thoughts; I really appreciate that genuine support. Even though I am still learning and growing more every day, I'll do my best to respond to the points you raised. First of all, I think that what you’re saying is a common question that I have battled with at times. Moderation seems to be a satisfying solution to the dilemma of how much of this and how much of that should be a part of your life. While I used to share in this understanding, I’ve spiritually matured to the extent that I rely on the Word of God to really tug out answers to these important questions. I noticed from my studying that there are several points throughout the Bible where we - as believers - are called to not be drunk with wine but instead filled with the Spirit of God (Ephesians 5:18, Proverbs 20:1, Galatians 5:21, and 1 Peter 5:8). When I first read those Scriptures, I thought, “That’s just referring to getting drunk so as long as I control my intake of these substances, I should be fine”. But then I looked at the underlying tone of those verses and the fact that the believer’s body is a temple to the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and 2 Corinthians 3:16-17), and I started to realize that everything I put in my body or expose myself to should be met with the question of, “Is this edifying me? Is this something that is building up or tearing down that temple?”. Alcohol and other drugs are behavior-modifying substances in any amount; one standard drink (wine, beer, mixed drink etc.) creates an almost immediate chemical reaction in the body that can kick-start the process of intoxication. Alcohol - even in moderation - penetrates the blood vessels and impacts the body’s nerve cells in a way that may cause someone to act and/or feel out of their normal character. Since my body - as a follower of Christ - is intended to glorify God, I choose to no longer hinder my ability to do that by taking in substances that could lead to such unhealthy reactions and behavior. Sex essentially falls into a similar category. As I mentioned in an earlier video, my past view of sex could be summarized as: as long as you like someone and it’s consensual, sexual activities are fine. However, looking at the meaning of sex - from a Biblical perspective - revealed quite a few flaws in my reasoning. The Bible defines sex not just as a recreational activity for self-satisfaction, but instead as the divine entity through which two people become one in marital union. Sex - in its right context - can be this intricate, beautiful tie of man and woman becoming one flesh (Genesis 2:24). It encompasses such a physical and spiritual fusion of two people at the deepest level that taking it outside of marriage shares a part of you that was ultimately intended for a life-long marriage. Doing this over and over again with multiple people can really deplete what was originally reserved inside of you for a marital union; it can also create many false dependencies on the physical gratification due to the science of what two people share and exchange when they have sex. All in all, despite the ways of my past, I am choosing to now reserve this intimate attachment and display of affection for the woman who I will marry. I want to also push back one of your last points. Since alcohol and other drugs can be highly-addictive substances and are known to create dependencies, how does one control or moderate their use of them before it becomes a problem? I want to hear your thoughts and I hope that this provides a bit more insight into my understanding. Looking forward to continuing this dialogue, Bro.

Our testimonies are so similar except I began to mess up a little sooner than college age and it lasted up until last year. I got to that point where I couldn't look at myself either. . What's worst?! I couldn't look in my child's face because I felt I was the worst mother ever. I had sex outside of marriage with a married man (although initially lied then admitted to be going through divorce, he should have still been off limits), had a child with him and he disappeared to another woman (not even his ex wife) and did the same to her. I felt I had brought my daughter into a big mess which she did not deserve. I got deeper into alcohol, getting high and just because I had responsible baby sitters or waited til my daughter was sleep, I thought I was better than those being high/drunk in front of their kids. I cried myself to sleep many nights and finally said, "God I need you! I'm tired of being this sin filled woman." It's so true when people say there is absolutely NOTHING good in the world and I really wasn't missing anything but a bunch of heartache. Now I drink in severe moderation.. maybe 1 drink every 6 months.. lol. I do not drink to get drunk. I don't get high. I definitely don't have sex. Haven't had sex in nearly a year. I even cut off dating for a while because I felt I definitely wasn't ready. That's actually what brought me to your page. I wanted to learn Godly courtship because I've rarely dated someone without drinking heavily, getting high and having sex in those relationships. I want to be much better. Have a positive role model (male) in my daughter's life and me the best mother I can be! This was definitely a blessing! So happy to come across you and your fiancee! Congrats and blessingsa #GodFirst!

That is such a powerful story of how God has redeemed you from what could have been a very destructive path.
