Man, as far as myself and my family. We’re in Leavenworth KS and doing ok but have definitely cut back on a lot of things. I don’t get fast food unless I have a coupon (and most times aren’t worth it unless I can combine coupons), figured out how to make Starbucks coffee at home, Im a mechanical engineer for AT&T and we are on a budget where if it’s not network impacting then we don’t fix ANYTHING including the air conditioning and/or roof. Food is pretty expensive still, I’m seeing a few more sales than usual. Without SS to supplement my income I wouldn’t be making it. I have a 275k house and make 75k a year and have 3 kids (mother passed away in 2022). It’s hard man. Mentally, emotionally and physically. Im saving as much money as I can and get as much interest as possible to help. I even have 2 vending machines I bought just to help with income a little bit. I’m trying to focus on my health but even that is hard at times. As a single father of 3 little girls, I’m struggling man. More mentally than anything else. Everything is so expensive and it’s killing us (the middle class and even more so lower class). Just a perspective from a dude named Kevin in Kansas. Stay strong guys. And you too Kevin. I’m an Etsy seller for over 12 years. It used to be amazing. I still do ok but people do want deals and sales. I sell things under $20 too. So already cheap. Plus way too many sellers. I wish people would go back to regular jobs ! Pandemic made too many people start side hustles. I was selling online on Amazon long before it was the way it is today. Both sites have been overrun with Chinese sellers. There’s multiple problems w Etsy. Too much competition now and they’re making bad choices.

My job as an industrial supplier/ manufacturer is usually VERY correlated with gdp growth trend (conveniently you noted manufacturing jobs as an early signal of recession). I'll see orders come in hot or cold and then the BLS data comes in line with it, like an early warning. Our orders have moderated, last month they were hot and we had overtime, now it's just in line with our labor. It's not recessionary, it's still warm, but stopped our plans to hire more. At Georgia Renaissance Festival, vendors are saying they are very busy and selling out, even on expensive items. Friend financial sentiment is they aren't hurting as much as their historical average level of struggle. Not all time highs though (which was 2021), but maybe 80% toward ATH if 50% is average. Event attendance is strong. Drug purchases are reportedly strong. Art vendors are reportedly selling well. My savings are low but I've been fully vested for years now so that's hard to tell. Spending is high. As a consumer I'm not worried in the slightest, nor for my coworkers potential to lose their jobs, but as an investor I am due to concerns over if the downward trend passes below moderation and negative feedback loops continue.

Coffee stops the absorption of magnesium that control over 300 enzymes. Here's the fix: drink hot water & cacao which has a little bit caffeine and tons theobromine. Where as coffee has ton of caffeine only has a trace amount of theobromine. Theobromine lowers blood pressure and it has too many health benefit to list here.

That was one of your most insightful and most inciteful videos to date. I believe that you nailed the current and unfolding economic environment. Your canary in the coal mine metaphor is very appropriate. I see many suffocating canaries everywhere. And yet, they don't seem to fit the general narrative that is being perpetuated out there. I have felt for awhile that it is getting more and more difficult to prop up the "everything's great!" story. From 50,000 ft up (or from your private jet) that all of the inflation, deficit spending, relatively high interest rates, lack of true productivity, bogus employment numbers, etc., etc. cannot result in an orderly outcome. Screw Elon and his BS, I was one of the most experience leaders building superchargers. They canned my team at 2am in the middle of our shift with a 5 minute notice. I know he thinks he can just bring in a bunch of cheap $20 workers to do our jobs but that simply won’t work out good IMO Besides that, I 100% agree with everything in this video, I started seeing this in Starbucks earning, I started buying July puts this week.
