I saw AE open up for Iron Maiden many years ago. I didn't know a thing about AE at that time. The band starts playing their opening song and I am digging it. Out comes this hot looking blond chick. She takes the mike and starts singing in that voice. It scared the crap out of me. I've been a huge fan since.

I was in like row 3 when I saw them live back then in a smallish club. Angela reaches about my shoulder-hight but it's fucking scary when she spreads the possession. I've never seen such a small lady open her mouth so wide..... it's like she's gonna swallow you whole!

Angela was a beast, think she was the first female singer I heard growling, knocked my socks right off! And now for the usual message till you do something about it :D Check out this canadian band called Spirit Box. The singer and her husband were part of another band called Iwrestledabearonce, but that band kinda stopped so they left and formed this one. Female fronted band if you hadn't guessed already, and as usual, it's a badass chick with some kickass vocal power, you won't be dissapointed. As much as Tatiana(Jinjer) is one of the best in the game right now and one of my top 5 bands, no one can compare to Angela's brutality, she just sounds like a demon and looks like a vampire hahaha. One of the best heavy vocalists and probably THE best heavy female vocalist of all time in my opinion. I was 12 when first heard these back in 2006 and I couldn't believe there was such thing as a woman that could do these vocals. Insane. Also Monuments dropped a new single a couple days ago called "Animus" if you could check that out, that's be awesome! Respect from The UK, 0121!🤘🏼

Angela was a great inspiration for Floor and it was her influence that she started to explore harsh vocals. Angela is now AE's manager. It was actually Angela who recommended the band to hire Alysa who at the time was in the Canadian band The Agonist. Fun fact is that Alysa was a huge fan of AE before joining. So for her it couldn't get any better :) Not saying Alysa is bad at all, but I personally prefer Angela. :)
