Came in the comments, but in a different way. Meatloaf was a crucial part of shaping rock in the 70's and 80's. I mean rock anthems that are still played at weddings to this day. "Let me sleep on it, I'll give you an answer in the morning." That's Meatloaf! If that doesn't ring a bell, he played a heavy chested man in fight club. You should check him out @The Fairy Voice Mother. This was so much fun to watch... Oh, btw. You brought it up so I think you might enjoy it. Tenacious D did a cover of hit me baby 1 more time. A really short cover, but if you enjoy it, maybe you could make it longer by reacting to a bunch of their covers... Pinball wizard and wicked games

Not only was that actually Dio in the opening song, but his father was played by Meatloaf. Not just a suppressed rock star, but another actual rock legend. There's a video of Dio singing his part and Jack being in awe of him. Then Dio actually asked if there was more for him to do, because he really liked the project. Side note: Kickapoo is a real town. IDK if there's one in Missouri or not, but there is one up in Wisconsin for sure, as well as a Kickapoo river.

I don't remember where I heard/read this, but Dio supposedly brought his own mic, and the studio crew said not to worry about that because they had everything ready for them. He began to do his part and blew out their mic. He apologized and explained that this is why he brings his own gear, and they had to redo the part with Dio's mic.

When the studio closed Grohl bought the sound board, and had it moved up to his home studio in Seattle. An awesome watch is Play by Dave Grohl which is a 23 minute song where he plays every instrument. So he records the full playthrough on one instrument then does another 23 minute play through on a different instrument etc. Its 7 instruments including Piano, which he admits he doesn't (normally) play.
