Adam and Drew have such great chemistry. They've done 3 movies together, all romantic comedies and all really funny. Sandler has a group of friends that all came into the industry at the same time and he usually has several of them in his movies (like Lucy's dad, his best friend and 10 second Tom) And the sport you were thinking of is lacrosse.

This movie hits me hard as I had a brain aneurism followed by a surgery. When I was first out of the hospital, I could not remember how to go to the fridge and take anything out or how to basically do anything that had memory attached to it. It took me several months just for that and years to get back other tasks. I am so grateful that what happened to Lucy did not happen to me.

I lost all decorum watching this movie in the theater during Drew’s scene where she beats Rob Schneider up w/the baseball bat… So happy you had the same kind of reaction to that scene! Can you imagine how much fun that was on set with the three of them (and the crew)?! Drew Barrymore is just a gem. And the sound effects team, to add the ping of the aluminum bat-everything about that was unabashedly slapstick. Great choice in movie reviews this week!🎬🍍🍳

I really this movie. The way he lives in her subconscious is very touching and meaningful. Blake Clark and Sean Astin (the father and son) are great in this movie. Drew Barrymore is also awesome. The scene where she has the bat and how she yells "Yeah, keep running!" cracks me. I'm glad you got a kick out of that as well. Made me laugh even harder.

I watched this one so many times growing up. So funny yet touching at times. The animals are adorable too. 💕 Btw 2 of my other favorite Adam Sandler movies that get overlooked sometimes are "Big Daddy" and "Mr. Deeds." I recommend both if you're enjoying his movies so far. Also "The Wedding Singer" since he and Drew Barrymore are in it too.

Not only is this one of my favorite comedies but I LOOOOVE Hawaii and it's so nice to watch a movie that both takes place in Hawaii AND is actually filmed there. Many times Hawaii doubles for jungles of the world, or it takes place in Hawaii but half the movie is filmed on a soundstage. I like that this was all on-location. I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and as a Wisconsin boy, I must say, IT IS PARADISE! You should definitely check it out sometime. You'd think that it just looks good in the movies but it's actually not the case - it's GORGEOUS! There ARE cows on the Big Island (maybe a few here and there on the other islands) but stuff is still very expensive there. Oh and another really funny comedy that I enjoy is Wedding Crashers with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. Highly recommended!!!

Lucy is played by Drew Barrymore who also played Gerdy in E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. She was 7 years old at the time. Her family is theater royalty. They have been in the theater or film for over 150 years. Her great uncle played Henry Potter, the rich old man in It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart.

James your assumption that Hawaii doesn't have cattle is wrong. The Parker ranch on the big island is one of the largest ranches in the US. The popularity of Spam goes back to world War II when it was introduced to feed US soldiers, and then stayed long after the war.

Spam pairs really well with poi, too. If you slice it and treat it like sausage and use the boil and burn cooking method, it really cuts the salt and fat, and then the maillard reaction has a whole different effect on the flavor profile. Plus the leftover water is great for cooking greens.

I really really enjoyed a movie called Spanglish. It's not a comedy, but I still think Sandler does an incredible job as part of a very good cast. It's top three of his movies for me. The one who says he is gay at the beginning…that’s his wife in reality. His wife is in pretty much most of his films 🍿 I love this film so much, Adam sandler reminds me of my husband….if he was a celebrity he would be normal. Drew Barrymore character is like me, I have epilepsy…I forget loads of things and I have short term memory.

This is one of my all time favorite movies! When my husband and I were young and to broke to afford cable, this dvd basically played on repeat in our living room. Fast forward 5/6 years and we got to move to the island this was filmed on. Loved your reaction and that your boys picked this for Easter 😂

I really enjoyed your reaction! I about died laughing when you laughed at the baseball bat scene when Lucy beat up Ula!!! Initially, I refused to watch this movie for the first few years after it was released. I have a cousin who was in a car accident in 1985 at the age of 21 and she suffered a traumatic brain injury and has no short term memory. She can talk about her family, school, places she went to, things she wanted to do, etc, as long as it took place before her accident. Now, she doesn’t like to watch new movies because by the time she gets to the end, she doesn’t remember how it started (Movies from before the accident are fine.). She can’t go anywhere alone. If she goes to a restaurant, she needs to tell someone else what she wants because she will not remember by the time they come to take her order. So I didn’t want to see this movie because I thought it would, more or less, make fun of her situation. When I finally watched it, I was so pleased with how respectful they really were and it’s now one of my favorite movies.

A good Easter movie probably would have been "Hop" (2011) (comedy) I'm not complaining about 50 First Dates, though. I love any and every Adam Sandler comedy! My absolute favorite actor.

My favoririte movie is The Wedding Singer, which also stars Adam Sandler and Drew Berrymore. It's set in the 80s and a lot of people think its one of his best, if not best movies. - Not everyone of course, but yeah.

They friend getting a beating from Drew Barrymore is called Rob Schneider hè Works a lot with Adam Sandler. He was the guy in the waterboy saying "you can do it." He also some good comedys in the same style as Adam Sandler movies like. Deuce Bigalow (1999) The Animal (2001) Big Stan (2005) and The Benchwarmers (2006)
