i think you're great and find the whole channel entertaining but to answer your question - A good artist is always growing, so whatever you create is you. Go ahead and try out any sounds that feel right and go with it. You'll find the more you expand your horizons, the better your music will become. I especially enjoy when you talk through the production side because I'm an old DJ that's new to production and trying to soak in everything I can from folks like yourself. Cheers!

Tech house stayed pretty relevant for years. Probably started listening to it late 2015 but I’d say it’s more commercial sound we have now probably started in 2016/2017. Fisher went solo leaving cut snake behind. Chris Lake was dropping banger after banger. Probably spent the whole summer of 2017 falling into the tech house rabbit. It out lived big room, electro house and progressive house which probably was relevant from 2010-2015 then trap, deep house, tropical house, future bass sort of took the spotlight in the middle of decade then tech house took over and covid really blew up it’s popularity when we were are stuck inside. When everything opened we finally got to see our favorite DJs play their tracks live and we got an influx of new tech house DJs who used their lockdown time to produce and DJ. Techno also gained traction during that time. Drum and Bass is for sure the next genre that is going to get commercialized next. We’ll probably get a new house sub genre piggybacking of that success.

Watching this video and my jaw dropped to the floor! No harm pal but maybe you need to widen your horizons. "Afro House" was done in the early 90's (Tribal House). Just because Beatport creates a new label doesn't mean that it's a new genre. There are 1000's of tunes that sound similar to the "new genre" you think you've created. I've no opinion on your style of DJ'ing and actually do think some of the things you do are impressive but wow that ego is out of control!

One thing the best Afro house tunes do in my opinion is have the piano’s melody also hit hard on the drop and keep the emotion going. That could work to add more to the Drake remix! 13:19
