I'm not an English teacher, but a part-time editor and writer in a company that publishes fiction manuscripts. There are times that I do some editing and proofreading jobs. I know I can talk and write fluently in English, but I can't simply discuss and explain to you the proper rules how correct grammars are constructed. I just know whether a sentence is grammatically correct or wrong when I read or hear one. Now I know that I'm learning a lot from you -- English lessons in highschool and college that have been long forgotten.

I like this tutorial video, why? bcz, her style of speaking is very natural, walang "arte." Unlike the other Filipino tutorial videos their accents are overly done, trying hard. However, she pronounces her words very clearly, and slow, which is how it should be. That's what it means by "can you speak English fluently?". Her deliverance comes out innate, classy and superb.

Filipino English in a business setting is more respectful with the use of present participles and gerunds. Americans tend to use active voice and are more direct. We say: I/we look forward to meet you on... This is how it is usually done in job interviews or just any business correspondence.

Nice information ! I just have few questions. Is it still proper use a GERUND after the preposition "TO" ? I think once a verb is preceded by "TO" it must be followed by present tense verb and it will become INFINITIVE and this is mostly used when activity is in future plan to be done. Another one is , for #3, does it only require the use of consistent progressive tense on the verb "LOOKING" that's why the next verb "SEEING" is in progressive tense too? It seems awkward to still indicate "TO" before "SEEING" since most of the time, the use of "TO" when verb follows, it is mostly in present tense and not in progressive tense that in effect, it already has its GERUND personality?

You are one of my favorite English teacher here on KZbin..Pang University ka Ma'am talaga.pang global accent na aadjust lahat makakaintindi..mapa native English speakers man from South North and Pacific man maintindihan talaga although na iba iba rin accent sa U.S at UK. There is no wrong or right accent naman..I'm going to change na I look forward na gagamitin ko instead of looking forward..I used a lot looking forward.

What a nice job. We took that up during my second year in highschool. However, I'm confused about the difference between participle and gerund. Nakalimutan ko na now that I'm already 58. Verbals kc yang mga yan. Pandiwari sa Filipino. Thank you po and more power. Congrats. Your vlog is very useful and timely.

Ironic that Filipinos are more conscious of correct grammar than Americans or Englishmen. Who cares as long as you understand what is conveyed..🤣🤣🤣
