He is starting to show a weakness his teams havent exposed before, and he doesnt have a plan B. City continues with the hopeless slow posession play and think they will break through every defence that way. They cant keep trying this when it doesnt work. Its so easy for the opponent to stop. They lose the ball in almost every attack and creates dangerous turnovers. We have seen it in many games now. The difference of the two teams was so obvious. Their attacker got the ball when City defence were not orgamized so he had lots of space to run in, while Haaland wasnt set up for one clear chance. The two he had was half chances. Yeah, he missed a penalty, but that can happen to anyone. They need to start playing quicker up to Haaland so he can run and challenge the defence, and not slow down every attack. Its so prdictable and easy to stop. Why keep playing out to the wingers when they cant make a good cross in front of goal? Its so easy to defend when you can just sit back and wait, and instead of some quick turnovers like Sporting did time and time again, they move the ball slowly sideways. To wait until the 84th minute to put on KDb was ridicilous. After being out for so many games, he should have gotten some minutes last game firstly, but he should at least gotten 30 min so he could have could have had the chance to be a bit involved in the play…

True just like all the players, I am disappointed with the result. Luckily for me I have the luxury to wine about it and these players don’t. They play on fight on and that’s what I should care about and that’s my personal realization from this game. We will be there, we are alive in all competition and we will be there. One way or another, no matter what. The only person I am most disappointed in myself that I felt entitled to be angry today on these players who have been absolutely brilliant for all these years and I had a moment of doubt and panic in myself. No he's good in that role, it's where he was for most of last season when KDB was injured and he was player of the season....he just needs some time and confidence. He had a very slow start to the season because of the Euros and him not training in pre-season....once he starts getting some goals and assists he will do well again

A rattled Pep is not a good sign for the opposition, 115 charges, Oil money and everything aside he is probably the best manager since Sir Alex, I am a United fan and I know what this man has achieved with City is remarkable, money can buy you good players but the desire to win consistently can only come from a great motivator. Similarly there is no shame in saying what Slot has accomplished so far this season is so underrated, especially because they barely added anything to the squad, tribalism does make it difficult for us to appreciate our foes, but the only way to grow as an individual is to go beyond those biases.

Our attacking transitions dont exist - whenever there's an opportunity for us to spring a counter, the ball is eventually played backwards allowing opponents time to get into defensive shape.. We don't defend the spaces and it's even more expose when we don't have the speed in defense to contend with our opponents. The players' positions when we are camped in the attacking third dont facilitate vertical passes, which is exactly what Erling thrives on.. It's poor without the right personnel. Pep needs to be flexible in tactics and adapt to the quality of the talent he currently has. He needs to trust the youngsters as well
