I'm Not Going To Be Speaking To You Anymore OK! 😲🎥❌👮‍♂️🚿

Today we take a look around Coventry Central Police Station, Little Park St, Coventry CV1 2JX.
We make many observations around the site but the most reoccurring one is the guttering and drainage.
We speak to a few people and a very rude front desk civilian.
We also witness a Police Member Of Staff park in a very selfish manner which causes an obstruction to a member of the public.
We also see 3 Units leaving on a Emergency Call with Lights and Sirens on.
We find a Police Station Rock Climbing Wall and help a delivery driver.
Overall, this police station did well but was let down by Drainage, Parking and a Front Desk Civilian who would not accept my help.

As a mason I can confirm water can do a lot of damage especially with a freeze thaw cycle the bricks and mortar will eventually crumble. Gutters and downpipes need to be maintained and landscape graded away from the building so water is directed away from the foundations. Will be very expensive repairs if left unattended☹️

The entire station seems shambolic. I shouldn't be surprised any more at the attitude of the police, but the manner of the desk officer who dismissed your suggestions was breathtaking. In the next sentence they say they want to "engage". Incredible.

You should have told the guy behind the counter that you'll be forced to piss in their front planter bed since the public toilet is closed by reason of a lie. Public servants don't like being told their organization's short comings of doing the job especially when they're caught lying to the public. You could have reported the offence of lying to the public for posting the reason the public toilet is closed and then asked for a receipt of your report and who you can later contact in the police department to follow up with about the investigation of the crime.

No Tailgating really is a Security issue, if cars were doing it all the time, that would be the fastest way to get in unnoticed. Watch for the type of car someone regularly tailgates in with and then grab a similar car and do it as well.

Where I work, like many offices, uses ID cards to access through internal gates. They take a long time to open and close and they are bad at detecting cards, meaning that tailgating, and even letting others in with ur own ID, is a common culture at my office. You could get any lanyard with any card, pretend to try and beep in, and when it doesn't work, just shout "ere mate can you beep up in, card's on the fritz" and 95% of the time you'll get yourself in.

Always with the "look out for police cars", I don't know about the UK but in the United States people on foot don't have to "watch out" and "get out of the way" of cars on public foot paths, it is the responsibility of drivers to watch out for pedestrians.

The disabled cord does not have to be freely hanging if the signage states the toilet is out of order. The desk officer did say that the light sensor is faulty so the light may go out while someone is using the facilities, which is then a safety issue

Yea the tailgating is a security issue. Ideally, each opening of the gate would be for one vehicle and the reg confirned during each opening. It being an enclosed area near other secure areas such as custody or evidence rooms etc

As someone who has experienced homelessness in the past that wasnt actually a bad spot to sleep. Its elevated from the road so not easily seen from the casual passer-by. Its sheltered with a roof and 2 high walls to act as windbreaks. Its tough to always find good spots and they can be jealously guarded once found. Its a tough existence and a good night's kip can really help.
