When challenged by an audience member, Silister implied that she, too, was beaten when she was little, and she acted like it was as normal as breathing. Yet, those beatings STILL didn't prevent her from having two babies by age 17. Her own life is proof that beatings are ineffective. Her very life serves as a rebuttal to the case her mouth is attempting to make. I hope those kids grew up to be happy, healthy adults in spite of their mom.
