Shirley Lee Ralph originally was supposed to be Clair, whitney houston was suppose to be sondra, and jaleel white was supposed to be rudy.

@@MrLionelg33 also, Whitney was supposed to play Denise. In the original casting process there was no Sandra. The Huxtables only originally had 4 children. Go watch the pilot. Claire asks “Cliff, why do we have 4 children!?” And replies, “because dear, we did not want 5”
