The Tale of Red Shoes is actually a Danish fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersonin which a peasant girl obsesses over her beautiful red shoes gifted to her by her adoptive mother, wears them into church after being told not to, then gets cursed to dance forever in her red shoes. She misses her mother's funeral, and eventually has her feet chopped off, with her shoes dancing with her feet still inside, detached from her body. Really like the parallels NIKKE draws from the story, I think where people get the Korean story angle is that it was adapted to film in Korea.

Even before the statement, people thought the “Red Shoes” referred to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz fairy tale. But in the OG story, they weren’t red. It was the movie adaptation that got the color ingrained in people’s heads.

Not really...i mean how would you feel if a police officer proceeded to murder all of your friends and family? Even if that police officer wasnt in their right state of mind you would find it impossible to forgive them let alone witness them continue their duty as a police officer. You could multiply that scenario by more than 100 and it still wouldnt match the pain and suffering Cinderella caused as Anachiro. We can empathize and understand her but in no ways should be excuse or forget the things she caused. Weirdly though at the end of old tales its not actualy clear if cinderella's motive for fighting is to protect humanity. Her motive "Is to become like the goddess squad" who's main priorty was to protect humanity, but protecting humanity itself doesnt seem to be her direct motivation. At least on the surface her reason for fighting is entirely selfish as is Abe/Graves. But then again her chachter is very very nuanced espcialy wth how decivingly simple her actions could be

But they aren't ok because they are at war with Raptures and are hopelessly outnumbered potentially tens of thousands to one depending on how much of the planet the Raptures control and what kind of production they have. The only reason why the Raptures haven't overrun the Ark by now is because: 1) Raptures have worse aim than Stormtroopers except when the writers want a Nikke to be critically injured/killed by Raptures; and 2) The Raptures don't seem to have any interest in the Ark or humans so long as the the humans stay out of their territory.

I'm not 100% certain about this, but i remember a comment that Grimm's models were a mistranslation on the english side. It should be fairy tale model, not grimm's. Thats why a lot of them aren't from Grimm

All the nikkes referred as grimms models are from Grimm's Fairy Tale by Jacob and Willhem Grimms. Liliweiss and Scarlet aren't Grimms models. Scarlet is a mass produced Nikke with heavy modifications that was recruited later into the goddess squad. Liliweiss is the very first Nikke ever created and a prototype. The rest of the Goddess Squad are Grimms models designed based on Liliweiss prototype. Then you got Old Tales which are all grimms models based on the first gen grimms models.

Spoiler if you hadn't watched the video yet Red Shoes' legs weren't even integrated with the elite Rapture in 2-12, they were just equipped by the Rapture and them breaking didn't hurt the Rapture's actual legs. The absolute irony that Red Shoes' actions towards her dream of unification with the Rapture not only got her nowhere closer to the Queen but also got her barely considered one of it's kind. Her stupidity resulted in her used like a convenient meat shield at the end of it all.

will say this, I love the story of nikke so far, love the characters, has great music, and has earn some of my money because of that, but as a videogame, while up there, can not say is on the top, because the gameplay, and gacha mechanics, add very little or work against it. as a medium there are things only a videogame can do, a involved gameplay that elevate the story even further, the team has tried and trough lost relics, and minigames and wish at some point we get a proper game that elevate this great story even further

I know there is a lot of confusion about Grimms models and why some of them are named after non-Grimms fairy tails. This was due to a silly translation decision made by the English localisation. In the original Korean text they are not called Grimms models, but rather Fairy Tail Models so they are a catch all for all fairy tail characters. English localisation decided Grimms Models sounded cooler without considering the confusion it would cause down the line.

Crow became evil because of the Ark and it's people treating her like shit. She also had the worst possible luck as an outer rim citizen. Crow was always forced to fend for herself and had no moral code to go by due to the Outer Rim having no legal system because the Ark never gave it one. Crow chose violence and chaos because the Ark never gave her an opportunity to negotiate or give her people human rights. Rights the Ark denied the people of the Outer Rim from even having. Crow grew to despise the Ark and its people because of this. So no. Crow is not as evil as the Central Government and Red Shoes.
