3:34:45 I broke down crying at this single line of dialogue. I really really really didn't want it to be true and having confirmation just broke my heart Been following the series since 2011. Started when I was like 11 or 12 and now 24 and it just HURTS SO BADLY

The second i saw that ending [press esc to leave] and what happens when you open the game again, i sat there in shambles, completely stunned. It's brilliant, it implicates the player, it makes *us* responsible. Whether eva moves on with her life or continues to relive the simulation is up to thr player. It's an open ending but one that can go either way and we don't know how will she carry on after this but we have to believe that she will, for her sake and our own. It's very much the true pacifist route undertale treatment, when you open the game again after completing it. It's a fantastic end to the series all about memory, death, life and grief. That smallest moment of interactivity at the end, where we have to make a decision to leave when we're ready... what an amazing ending to this series (or one of 2 endings)

Him marketing this as a beach episode "side story" has got to be one of the cruelest things I have ever seen. Even if it was obvious that was probably why it hit so hard it was obvious yet the reality doesn't set in until Eva say's it out loud and I just think that's incredible. This has got to be the one of the best epilogues to a series and not just a series the bestest. Enjoyed your playthrough a lot glad to see someone cares about these games as much as me.

This game is wonderful, I've never cried so much... After everything we've seen throughout these games, we finally discover the truth, and it hits hard

I don't know which would be worse: She walls up herself in this garden he built for her, or she eventually moves on and never ever visits here again.

We all thought some variant of this was gonna happen eventually. But damn, even with the whole ripping off the bandaid type of reveal this game did... It still hits hard.

Just finished the game myself and came to youtube looking for folks that also completed it and damn I knew it was gonna happen at some point but it hits like a train when Eve comes to confront Neil It's good to know that there still are games with heart and soul put into them and that people are still enjoying them Perfectly written story Can't wait to cut onions with Kan Gao in the next game

Because of my friends I tried out To The Moon, and after a big crying session I ended up playing every game in this series in the period of a month. I thought it was a great coincidence that this was coming out right before I finished Impostor Factory…it has been a few days now and I am still recovering from all these attacks. This video was beautiful and healing to me in a way, thanks for sharing it.

Oh no... so the Last Hour of a To The Moon RPG is maybe gonna be the bad ending... It's after you've leveled up to max level in an rpg game which takes forever. It's looking to have a lot of fantastical aspects that diverge from real life which is what Neil and Eva say they'd add to replays with the group on the beach at sunset. The next game is probably when Eva loses herself in the machine and doesn't let go... 😢

eh. Its also the moment when you finally triumph over a great evil and get to enjoy the epilogue. Could very well be that the Beach Episode is the "Dark Night of the Soul", the moment of true loss before the finale. We see Eva at her lowest point, the other side of the coin is that Neil apparently finally finished his big project. Which we saw first in Imposter Factory and now in Beach Episode. That is my personal guess. Neil is gone, but his legacy remains. And in typical Neil fashion, that is pretty weird.
