Fitz isn’t the praying type but I am. If I were Liv, I’d pray to be released from this but...what God has brought together, let no one put asunder (not even the 2 who are brought together!). Love re-discovered is healing (sometimes it’s painful to watch) making them both strong enough to honor it. 🙏🏽

Here's the thing both times he was losing so with or without her he was gonna lose but that's how they are spending time together by her being his campaign manager. The same thing that Olivia said on the campaign trail about his marriage being cold distant and dead is what Leo told Mellie and Cyrus that their marriage was still the same way. Cyrus always says that some men aren't meant to be happy they are meant to be great well him not being happy is killing his presidency. Olivia has tried to remove herself from the situation so that Fitz could become a better president by making his marriage work but it didn't work. Once she came back in his life he forgot all about Mellie again.

Actually Andrew was ok at first. What drove him to have her kidnapped was because she forced him to choose between staying vice president or be with Mellie. Andrew told Olivia that he was in love with Mellie. Now Andrew chose to stay vice president. Fitz had made a decision to not go to war and as usual people in the white house like to override his decisions including Mellie sometimes. Elizabeth wanted a war and everybody knows Fitz weakness is Olivia Pope so they knew the only way to get that war was to kidnap her. Mellie and Teddy are safe at the white house they never leave so can't have them kidnapped. Olivia was the only logical choice. She lives alone she has no secret service there. Jake was there but somehow they were able to just easily take her right up from under Jake watch.
