The main problem with this level is that it almost never gives you the right plant at the right time. Even when there’s an entire horde of zombies it’ll keep giving you more lillypads and one Johnny instead of more bowling bulbs and chompers

It’s weird cuz for my first try I actually beat it pretty easily without using any power ups or buying plant food, granted my bowling bulb was lvl 2. But a strat u can use is shoveling plants that aren’t needed in a lane then replacing them into one that needs it if that makes sense

The reason why is (At least my theory) that the conveyor belt has a limited amount of plants it can give the player, and when it runs out, it'll prioritize what it deems as a filler (In this case, lily pads and wall nuts, other times it could be single use plants like explosives). Because of this, they limit the amount of offensive plants until it's too late because you have the most it can offer. It's dumb design either way, but it's something I've always noticed with conveyors

This is the dedication you don't see from most PvZ players nowadays Edit: one thing you could've done to not only get Lily Pads was to shovel the Chompers and Bowling Bulbs in the lanes which had all of the zombies dead. It would've given you a better chance of getting both of those plants. Edit 2: it's so weird watching this level without Big Wave Beach's Ultimate Battle music playing in the background. You should really look it up and have a listen

The strategy for the garg level is as follows: You plant the chompers at the very first lane and protect them, followed by the the bowling bulbs and then the wallnuts, after u beat the minions and the garg comes in u wait for him to get close to the chompers until he's in range of their bite, after that u keep stalling him by planting other plants in the same spot until the chompers finish him off, really wished I could've commented this earlier to save wolfy the trouble

The bowling bulb in my opinion becomes useful at lvl 3. At that lvl it starts recharging and shooting the blue bulbs, and I think at level five it starts recharging and shooting the orange ones. That’s when it really gets good

When it came down to the last two Gargs, you should’ve shoveled the plants you wanted more of in the zombieless lane so you can play them in the Garg lanes. Because you kept the Bowling Bulbs and Chompers in the zombieless lanes, the game was more likely to give you Lilypads.

So I wish I was able to give this tip in time for the episode, but to let you know how to help with conveyer belt levels in the future like this: they are based on how many plants of a certain type. So for example, once it's given you 5 Johnny seeds it doesn't really give you anymore, until one of those Johnnys is dead. Meaning that if you end up in a situation like you were in, something that might work is digging up the seeds in lanes that have no zombies in them to increase your odds of getting the ones you dig up. Hope that can help with one of the conveyer belts later

Wolfy, if you level up your bowling bulb, the first bulb it shoots will always be the dark blue one at level 3 and I believe the orange one becomes the first bulb everytime at level 5 or 6, plus it decreases in sun cost the more you upgrade it too. Very good plant once you upgrade it

Ok so basically I have started playing this game again because of you, and watching you playing it while also playing along side of you was really really enjoyable. I have binge watched this series in like 1 week and I finally caught up. Therefore I was also about to play the mid-way boss lvl. I saw u struggle a lot with this Level and I had respect for it and I also went in knowing I was likely to fail a couple of times cuz it genuinley looks pretty hard. So it came as a big surprise to me that I one shotted the Level. I dunno if this is a viable strat or if I was just lucky, but if u use your plant food carefully and save up at least 2 for the final 2 Gargantuas, use the plant food on the Chompas instead of the BowlingBulbs. It will knock the Gargantuas all the way back and therefore give u plenty of time to dig out plants in the clear lanes and plant more on the remaining Gargantua lanes :)) If anyone actually bothererd reading all of this u a legend

The conveyor belt functions on weight (likelihood of giving a certain plant), max count (max amount of said plant on the belt AND on the field), a max count weight multiplier (reduces the chance of getting a plant once you have reached the max count/stops you from getting it), a cooldown that activates once you reach the max count, and sometimes a max delivered cap. To my knowledge, there is no difference between a plant on the field and a plant on the conveyor; they're all counted together for max count. So, shoveling up plants does give you a higher chance of getting that plant again (unless it can only be delivered a certain amount of times, which usually isn't the case). Some levels also boost certain plants (Dark Ages boss), but that's never really used elsewhere

here is the thing about the conveyor belt: every plant has a weight and max dilivered, the weight is how often u get a plant, the closer you get to the max dilivered number it becomes less common for you to get the plant and it counts for the plants in the board as well, and another thing is if u have alot of plants in the conveyor it will slow down, so spamming everything u get immediatly helps making it faster, so u can spam the lily pads so they become less common and shovel the chompers and the bowling bulbs makes it easier to get them at the end when there is nothing but the gargs instead of getting billion lily pads *I hope that made sense*

One of the reasons why you only get lily pads is because you have exhausted your supply of other plants. The game gives you plants based on what it thinks you need. If the game's ideal level (how it thinks you will play) has only one row of chompers., then it will give you 5 chompers at a time. Thus, if you have more than one chomper in a single lane, the game still thinks of it as 5/5 chompers used. A very simple strategy is to dig up all of your useful plants from lanes that have already cleared through the ending zombies. In this level, you almost always had the top lane open at the end. If you were to use this strategy you would dig up your chompers and bowling bulbs in that lane so that the game now thinks you need more of those plants based on how many you have on the board. Instead of 5/5 chompers and 5/5 bulbs, you now might have 3/5 chompers and 3/5 bulbs. This would prompt the game to send more of the needed plants. (also, if you get to a point where a certain plant becomes useless like the lily pads once the zombies get on land, just start dumping them in open lanes or on the far right to increase the number of lily pads the game sees i.e. 9/10 lily pads.)

There are two types of conveyor belt levels. One where the let's say pool is infinite, and one where it's finite. the pool is how plants you are able to get from the conveyor belt. Infinite ones are mainly in pinata parties. The finite ones work in the way since you pulled a plant that type of plant is less likely to show up. Example on zomboss fight of wild west the game would only ever give you three melon pult at a time and two winter melons at a time.

I think near the end of the level you could have manipulated the conveyer by digging up all the plants in empty lanes. I'm not sure if that would spawn more in I haven't played in years but it might.

conveyor belt levels have a set number of plants, and sometimes plants that will come back infinitely (for example, an infinite plant could be iceberg lettuce). In level Big Wave Beach - 16, there are no infinite plants. If one of your plant dies, it'll get re-added to the list, and will then come back from the conveyor belt. You can then use this to your advantage by removing an empty bowling bulb or plants that have no zombies in their lanes, and wait for it to come back up, and then re-plant it, full.

I replayed this level while I watched you play it, and a strat I used was that a tangle kelp that is affected by plant food can distract a gargantuar while it's right on top of the kelp, doing good damage and buying more time for more plants to show up, like lilypads.

Wolfy cheated as he used a zap powerup. Look at 11:04 - he has 139170 coins Then there is a cut a few seconds later At 11:10 you can see that he now has 138370 coins. This is an exact 800 difference from a few seconds ago which is the cost of a zap powerup, and he didn’t even win when cheating smh.

If when you are at the end, you can dig up any plant in a lane with no more zombies in. Then all those plants you dug up can come back on the conveyor.

If you can get bowing bulb to lvl 3, then it will regenerate the blue one instead of the turquoise one first so it will do what feels like twice as much damage since it isn’t shooting pathetic ping pong balls anymore turning it into a very good plant. This then gets better at lvl 7 I think where it regenerates the orange first.

What you want to do is save most of you plant food for final wave but most of the time a surfer or bucket head gets in and you have to use it on them. The difficulty of this level relies pretty much on what level your bowling bulb is. Or i guess you can boost the plants in zen garden.

Once you have a large number of something, whether in the conveyor or not, the conveyor belt likes to avoid giving you more of it, you could've made this easier on yourself if you shovelled the stuff that aren't doing anything once it's just down to the gargs. That's why you got lily pads every time the gargs came in, because you had loads of defences everywhere else. Also the fact you never did Force-Sync or connected your EA account (which gives you 100 free gems) which is the way to save data is hilarious.

Wolfy I just went and beat this level very comfortably first try using the exact same strategy you did. I have level 3 bowling bulb and tangle kelp, level 2 Lily lad, and level 1 chomper (cuz I don’t actually have it so I can’t level it up). Leveling up plants is definitely worth it whenever you can and sometimes you may need to grind the previously beaten levels in a world to get piñatas for seed packets. And yeah I know everyone hates grinding and I never did but just something to keep in mind if this ever happens again.

the thing about conveyor belt levels is that it has a set amout of plants it gives you,for example : if the level is meant to give you like 5 peashooters and you lose/remove 1,you are automatically gonna get another one in the next few drops coming,but you aint gonna get any more than 5,it also depends for certain levels,some give x amout of plants for like 1 stage and then another row of them on the next flag,at least that is what i got from playing it (and i play this game since release basically)

So interesting thing about Bowling Bulb is at certain level thresholds, the first bulb it restores will be a better one. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but a mid level (4 or 5?) it will restore Blue, Orange, Turquoise and then later on Orange, etc. Not that it helps you now, but is a decent end game/arena plant for that reason.

MUST READ WOLFY AS THIS WILL HELP YOU A LOT in conveyor levels, the more plants there are, the less plants u will receive, so u gotta plant all those lily pads so more plants can be received for better chances for survival.

hey, one more tip about conveyor belt levels, don't hold anything, as soon as you get something to plant you do it, you receive plants depending on how much you have at your disposal, so if you hold to many plants the game will take longer to give you the next one, but if you have zero plants the game will send the next one faster.

Wolfy you can remove plants from the field in order to make the conveyor belt give you these plants, that's how you manipulate it. They way it works is it checks for the amount of plants you have on the field, notice how you always get 3-4 Chompers and not more since you never dig em up, and they're less likely to be eaten. I recommend that once the lanes that don't have the gargantuars in them finish with their zombies, dig up the plants and place them in the lane you need it in. LIKE THIS COMMENT SO HE SEES THIS

See while this world completely sucked when I played through it, I played through it when the game was being updated to add new worlds. So I think some things were balanced differently or had new mechanics because, when I played through this level, I had a hard time but not this much of a hard time. It still took so many attempts though. Honestly someone needs to have a talk with whoever designed big wave beach, cause they clearly wanted the players to suffer for some reason

See, this level is supposed to be a lot easier but because of a frankly dumb mechanic it’s awful. With conveyor belt levels *the more plants that are still on the conveyor belt the slower it will give you new plants.* The game never tells you this, so this level ends up being unintentionally hellish.

I think back when I played pv2 I was stuck on this level as well, but that's as far as it goes for me. I never picked up the game since then but now that you have beat this. It gives me an unwillingly urge to try and see if I can finally get pass this hellhole of a level again.

Wolfy, huge tip. In a conveyor belt level, there's a general and sometimes specific amount of a plant you can get which means that if you dig up a plant on the field, you're sure to get it back soon and quicker than another plant. Something you could try is when there're no other zombies in other lanes dig up the plants in those lanes.

The conveyer belt levels will usually only give you so much of so many plants like in level 16 it appears to be 10 lily pads if you can get them all planted then it would start spewing out more damaging plants (As long as not all of them are planted)
