Fun fact about conveyor belt levels, the more plants you let sit on there unplanted and stack up, the LESS frequent you get new plants to put down. This basically means that, even if they don’t do anything immediately, it is more practical to spam plants down than save them for later.

It depends on what level. But usually, the most important thing is trying to get all your plant as fast as possible. Also, once you reach your plant limit on the field and have an empty conveyor belt, the game will more likely give you instant kill plant.

i personally find laser bean to work fine in this world, since he attacks the whole lane, as long as you keep them in the back, you dont have to worry too much about the octos tangling your defense, and if push comes to shove, plant food will clear everything, even the octos

A little tip for the OctoDad: When he shoots his octopus at one of your plants, you can use your shovel to remove it before the octopus catches it so you don't have to deal with that problem.

The reason you get some weird plants in the PVZ3 levels is because at the time big wave beach came out, only Egypt, Pirate, Wild West, Future, and Dark Ages were out. That’s why you get weird setups like iceberg lettuce, kernel pult, and sunshroom. They literally didn’t have a ton of options of plants to give you.

A very effective counter against Octodad is a level 5 Hot Potato. At level 5, Hot Potato will melt octopi, which is very helpful. Unfortunately, it takes a LOT of seeds to level it up that much, so AoE plants or plants that can attack backwards are your next best bet

In every world I would always evaluate what zombies would be coming from the first couple levels and see if I could find a setup that worked throughout the WHOLE WORLD. For some reason this worked for every world for me, something that I found very good are primal pea, and anything that stuns. Bonk Choy is great and corn is good. Keep at it. Hardest world is yet to come!

As you get to the end game, I really can’t recommend the Zen Garden enough. If you didn’t know, the Zen Garden allows you to grow boosts for plants. When used, boosts give a plant a First Strike - a Plant Food for free whenever the boosted plant is played. You get the Saplings used to grow them for free through normal gameplay, so there’s no reason to not pop a few when you’re struggling on a level.
