As someone who religiously watches Bailey, this collection is very much her. She is one of the only people I've seen that can pull off a full grunge look so the color choices make sense for her. Of course, it's not going to be for everyone but you pulled it off really well. The smokey/grunginess makes your eyes really pop!!

Ooh!! I love dark pallets!! If you have dark skin...buy the pallet that lighter skin tones say its dark or too dark. At this point I don't look for color stories as much. The darker the better.

I think the light lippie is probably intended to apply to a darker lip look in the center to give an ombre lip. Bailey does it frequently.

Bailey said the light lippie is to mix in if you want to lighten the others. Edit to say I want to pick up the glitters and lippies if they restock. The eyeshadow palette is beautiful but I never wear all matte looks, I would smear my body in shimmer if it was socially acceptable so…😂

I have watched Bailey for YEARS. A recent video explained the light liquid lip and lighter lipsticks… she does a lot of ombré lips and that’s the purpose of the light lippie. This collection is spot on for her and I LOVE it.

Honestly the look you created made me want the palette even more. I love how deep and grungy melt mattes are, but I wear looks like the this one on the daily. Palettes not having light shades doesn't bother me, I actually prefer they go dark. But that's just my personal preference. I will say the shadows going on darker than they look in pan is always a bummer (same for ones that go on lighter) so them not being true to pan isnt great. But I've had that issue with other melt palettes so it doesn't surprise me.

YESSSSS...a dark palette not afraid to go against the usual trends. Shimmer who...and do grunge looks even care for inner corner highlights, idk?? I love Bailey, I love grunge, I love that all of the shades can be utilized by darker people!! I understand that Melt formulas can be tricky...but I loved even my Subculture palette so this one should b okay! For my liking though, I prefer maroons, purples and midnight tones for grunge so this palette leans a bit too warm for me. I might still buy this to support her!! This collection is just her. ❤🎉

Melt *almost* had me with this collection but I had to ask myself if this brought value to my current collection. While I LOVE the color story, I already have these colors in formulas I like (I’m no makeup artist and I really struggle with making Melt NOT look like a patchy unblended mess on me. User error I’m sure). Like you mentioned, without the lighter accent shades, this doesn’t pull me enough to throw caution out of the window. I can support Bailey by continuing to watch her videos and I hope this collection is a huge success for both her and Melt. Thank you for yet another wonderful video, I literally gasped and ran to bed to watch as soon as I got the notification!

I don’t normally set my eyeshadow primer but I always do with Melt eyeshadows, it makes for a smoother blend and makes the eyeshadows more on the buildable side. I bought the palette because I love Melt and I just might recreate your lovely look!

I love how deep and pigmented this color story is, I never feel sad about not having lighter shades in a palette, especially because if it comes to it, I can reach for another palette or use setting powder to blend. I have a small z-palette filled with light mattes and shimmers that I use everything I do my eyes. It never bothers me when palettes don't have light shades. Rarely do I only use a single palette. I got this one yesterday and think it would make a great companion to ND Yucca or Juvias Place The Nomad palettes.

I would consider this more of a pressed pigment palette than an eyeshadow palette so I can see how some would have trouble with it. I really like the color story and am using more tapping motions when blending than swiping back and forth. Also it helps to use a more skin tone shade to blend those edges but that will vary person to person. The lipsticks are gorgeous too ✨

I saw Bailey mention that the lip trio cn be used alone but (particularly the light one which looks scary) mostly for mixing! I usually take out the light cream shade in the RUST palette for a "highlight shade" and add it to a magnetic palette or in a melt palette that I want to use more or travel with - their eyeshadows are magnetic ! ah, I wish every brand would do magnetic pans; I loved melt but after finding out the shadows are magnetic, I FELL in love and never looked back! I recently reorganized all my colourpop eyeshadows in a bigger magnetic palette and man oh man!! it is gorgeous! I will do the same with my unearthly & viseart eyeshadows soon. I do label them typically with a label maker so I know where it goes when I want to reassemble. I find the process of "depotting" the eyeshadows, rearranging them and mixing and matching in a smaller palette for daily use that I can change whenever I'd like.. very inspiring and fun. Also you do get a chance to just choose your favorites from each palette and make a mega favorites palette...which always has a minimum of one multichrome lol I just love it!! It is definitely one of my favorite things to do with my makeup, the other being swatching multichromes and just dancing around the room, watching the magic show on my skin

FYI: The liquid lippies were developed to be blended and mixed, so if you think the nice one is too light or 1990’s you can blend it with the others to make your own custom color.
