Ok I’m halfway through this video and I HAVE to comment. I just gotta say asa and cilla have raised a wonderful son! I noticed in the vlog the other day when y’all were getting in the car Isaiah helped Abbie by taking off her coat before putting on her seatbelt. And then today he gave her his shirt so she wouldn’t be chilly. Those tiny things are amazing! Most brothers would be like yeah I don’t care but he ALWAYS worries about Abbie and takes care of her like a big brother should ❤️ way to go Isaiah and way to go parents!!! 💋❤️

Perspective: I LOVE doing laundry now. Why? Because for 5 years it was physically impossible to do it without major pain and difficulty. Three surgeries later and now pain-free, I am grateful to do laundry. I don't know how many years I'll get out of my last surgery but I pray to do laundry in all of them. 🙏✌️

I think this is the area most parents go wrong in. They treat their kids like they’re unable to do anything except preferred activities which leads to a lack of abilities in so many areas. I love that the Maass family have expectations for Abbie and work within her disability to get to her abilities.

Abbie smiled and laughed so much in this vlog. I loved it so much 💜.... Also when you said not everything is lesson is so true but if you think about it that’s how we all learn constantly throughout our whole lives is just being involved and introduced to new things and goals all the time. Just communicating with her about anything in her room or on a daily basis is showing to more of us that Abbie can communicate more now than ever and she doesn’t have to talk for most of us who watch to know what she wants. Watching your vlogs for almost 2 years or more even from your last house and moving to this house Abbie has learned so much and her follow through is awesome. I’m so proud of her but you all continue to encourage her to learn new things everyday. This is why I love watching your vlogs so much. Follow through is important to any child or anyone. Giving up is easy. Settling is easy. Continuing to thrive even through the hardest times is when it’s proof right here that she’s more independent now more than ever.

I think it is perfectly ok to share your charitable nature. There are youth clubs out there looking for ideas. Sharing helps others come up with ideas. I have given the shoes off my feet, so now I keep extra shows in my car. Me sharing that put the idea in other peoples heads. There are a bunch of us driving around with extra shoes, socks, blankets, water...depends on the season. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture it can be small consistent gestures. It can be just looking some one in the eye and greeting them instead of ignoring them. Being kind comes in many forms. Encourage away...

If this world had more people in it that just took the time to notice what’s going on around them, then they could see there’s people that really need someone to just give the a little love. I try to help others. Nursing homes have so many residents that have no visitors or family. The holidays are very lonely and you can see sadness in there eyes.! Letting someone know you care about them goes a long way. A simple hug is worth so much to an lonely elderly person.

That’s exactly what I do. I use all of my iPsy/boxycharm makeup bags and stuff them with women’s products and whenever I see someone in need, I put a few bucks in there and give them that and some snacks. I also have “mens” bags as well and kids bags as well in the situations where they have kids. I rolled that out to my company and started a company wide drive of doing that. You’d be SHOCKED at how a simple idea to reuse makeup bags turned into something much larger. All just from sharing it. Not for praise, but for suggestion. Keep doing what y’all are doing!
