I'm NOT Worried About the Winnipeg Jets

As a Canucks fan I find the Jets scary. They rarely allow more than 2 goals a game. Canucks are used to blowing teams out and scoring 6. That is unlikely against the Jets and the Jets are more experienced in 1 goal games. A perfect style for the playoffs. I really think there's a great chance that either Vancouver or Winnipeg comes out of the West.

Difficult to beleive that we are missing 55 more than we missed 81. But, 55 is a play maker and has become more defensively minded. His time off has made me change my mind, and become aware of the need for a good centre. Can we afford $ a centre and a D? Because We do need somebody big and aggressive , and effective at the point. I guess it depends who we trade. I hope Chevy can pull off some more magic.

This is exactly dejavu from last year. They started sinking just before their holiday, come back continued to loose. Their power play is pathetic - no excuse for that with the players they have but they continue to play like TimBits players on the power play. Even the worst teams in the league have better power plays. Unless they miraculously change that, what is the point, even if they squeak into the playoffs, they will be gone just like last year.

It's not panic. But it's quite clear the holes this team needs to fill. The PP is beyond awful, they are terrible in the faceoff circle, and the depth scoring is absent. A 2C that can win draws and be a threat on the PP is desperately needed. The lack of center depth is quite apparent without Scheifele. They also need a top 4 D-man that has a hard shot from the point that can QB the PP. What does cause panic is the fact that the Jets placed Chisholm on waivers. Not Stanley or Schmidt. Are we going to have a repeat of what happened to Johnny Kovacevic?

I Agree Stanley/schmidt should have been traded or sent down instead. Or instead of losing him for nothing they could have included Chisholm in a deal.

Before making big move Jets should bring up just to see how they look Lambert,Lucius,Chibrikov. Or wait for NCAA end and Mcgroarty could be ready for jump if hes done with College. Then if those options dont work try aquiring Center or dman. I dont agree with Chisholm being on waivers he could have been used in a deal if he gets claimed. I much rather see Chisholm/Capobianco over Stanley. I think Guentzel/Lindholm will go for to much even Monahan considering only makes 1.9 could retain for contender. Guys i could see ChandlerStephenson,Henrique,LarsEller center depth. And on D Tanev makes alot of sense if move stanley and want depth maybe a Seeler.

Why not the Rutger (sp?) guy? Last year the Leafs put Knies into the line-up very late into the season and he was a stand-out player until he got injured in the playoffs. Be bold, Bowness.

I'll believe it when I see it....they are showing signs of tanking in their past 8 games.....despite winning a few of them. Injuries always happen and can't be used as an excuse.....they need some help on both defence and offence. Say what you will about this team being "different". Edmonton has dynamic scoring and you can see what happens to the Jets when one or two players get hurt.....they can't finish. I'm not convinced the Jets will come back after the break and be on top of the league come April.....

I’m scared as hell with the Jets. They like to nose dive right about now. 2 goals in last 4 games when you have Connor and Ehlers is hilarious! Game in Boston was an embarrassment. When Scheifle is injured it feels like the team has no flow or identity and the walls start crumbling. Not only that the last 3 wins were nail biters an I don’t think the jets should have won those. Unbelievable that a team looking as good as they did in December could make the last 7 games look that shitty.

Crazy too that Bonus is staunchly defending the teams play when it’s been close to pathetic in the last 4. Defence is awesome but means nothing when you can’t score goal.
