I feel like we need a good backup gaolie just for like this year. What if helle gets injured in the playoffs? I have nothing against Comrie, but we should get a decent goalie for the playoff run, and keep comrie. Maybe bring up Kahkonen and see how he does? If not, we need a backup goalie

I'd like to see the Jets get bigger and more physical as well as more defensive and have a guy like Brock Boeser among the Mid-6 Forwards. I think the Jets could shift points from the blueline to the wing and trade Ds Josh Morrisey and 2m/6'7" pylon Logan Stanley to the Canucks for right shot winger Brock and 2m/6'7" D Vincent Desharnais who turns little forwards into crash test dummies.

Barzal literally cannot and will not happen. His contract is a M-NTC with a 22 team no trade clause...Winnipeg is definitely on that list.

What happened to Chicago back in 2010 with the whole Kyle Beach thing that occurred. I mean, you can’t say Jonathan Toews knew what was going on. They were in very deep playoff run at the time. I highly highly doubt that half of the players knew what was going on behind the scenes. But your reasons on why he should not even return to the NHL or why the Jets should not even sign him is downright idiotic and yes, it would be a great hometown story. He’s still a very good player. He’s just a little bit older, but if you’re expecting 90 points from the dude you’re not gonna get that and he would be a great guy to have in the locker room in the playoffs. If we're considering the 2010 Blackhawks, and we should, I would sooner get rid of Chevy than Toews. Chevy has done a mostly good job in Winnipeg, but he had power in Chicago at the time. At very least, it happened on his watch. Toews was a 21 year old. We don't know his role in this, if any. How much power does a 21-22 year old captain really have in the NHL? I'm not willing to paint Toews with the same brush as management without some indication that he did something wrong. I hope Toews talks about the experience more.

If the Jets want to add him, they should do it in the off-season. He probably is still a good player, but he hasn't played in over 2 years and the Jets are already past the midway point of the season. I don't see him getting up to game speed to significantly help the Jets right now. Not to mention, the Jets need to add a bonafide top 6 player that can score. Simply settling for Toews would be the safe option, where this organization again can skate by without spending that much.

Sign him to the Moose. If he does well there, they can use them as a call up. They should give him a developmental deal if anything, not a main roster contract right off the bat.

I agree with your comment to bring him in on a PTO. Similar to when the Leafs signed Pacioretty on a PTO. These guys are veteran forwards who understand what it takes to win.

The Kyle Beach situation was terrible. It should never have happened and the punishments handed out will never be enough. I think that we shouldn’t paint everyone on that team with the same brush. Don’t know who knew what and don’t know those who did know that what their mindset was. No excuses for any of them but without proof I think we should be looking to give people the benefit of the doubt. If it comes out that they knew, throw the book at them. But if you don’t know, it’s irresponsible to lay blame based on opinion. Love your content, you’re one of the best out there for the Jets. But this one is a stretch. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but not everyone is entitled to their own facts.

In his last season he was top 5 in the league in faceoff percentage if i remember correctly and played on a terrible team. He had 15 goals and 16 assists in only 53 games and was dealing with the effects of his illnesses. How could you say this guy had a bad season in his final season when he was over half a point a game and top 5 in faceoffs? He won 63.1% of his faceoffs!

He may be a version of Corey Perry. At an entry level deal if we have the cap why not? Doesn’t have to be in the lineup either. Give the man a 2 way entry level contract. Will be a great mentor for prospects.
