This is true but one of my most powerful regrets was when my dad was like "hey look I'm not one of your friends," and I fired back "EXACTLY!" and stared him down. My dad is a sweet, honorable, if at times a little misguided man. I used this sentiment to hurt him in a fit of peak, and I will never forget his eyes... Anyway, be kind to each other.

@@ericcooper712 oh, I have no doubt is was meant as a typical "I wasn't asking" or "what did I just tell you" kind of thing. I just flipped it around on him and made it Hella personal. The tone is what did it too, that and the eye contact. I did what he told me but it was a "fuck you dad you're shit to me" attitude he really didn't deserve, not just becayse he was an authority figure I "should" respect but because he was and is a good man, just limited at times. And for the record I waa never one of those "you're not going to spank me kids" my dad is kind but the belt was the only thing I tended to listen to when I was younger. I was just mostly grown when this happened. Now, my mom would have slapped the shit out of me in that situation and nearly did.
