Aww this looks great, you should definitely do more! I feel like there's potential for some fun stuff where the world is sliced too - like with the roots, but being able to see what's going on under the main scene (like a pipe with a critter poking their head out, or a whole other room)
@AceSeptre3 жыл бұрын
I've always wanted to do this. One of my biggest shortcomings as a 3D artist is dealing with extraneous space. But, if you constrain that space artificially then you don't even have to worry about it. Awhile back I did a path that looped around a sphere with a bridge at the top but the issue was adding anything square (like a house) requires the geometry conform to the radius of the sphere. I can do that no problem, but in order for the "bent" house to feel like it was in the scene would have required stylized/painterly textures which I'm not good at.

Thats what I thought at first also, but it really isnt that difficult if you do it few times. I had to make a car in blender for my school and that was my 3rd or 4th model and the ones before that were reaaally simple like a table, flower pot etc and I thought it would be impossible and the 1st one was really bad, but I made the 2nd one and it wasnt that bad so just believe in yourself, practice, if you make a mistake fix it immediately, search for it on the internet or they will just build up and your model will look not as good. Good luck!

This brings hope to my childhood dream of having little worlds in my pocket. The older I got the more I realized it is possible to create such worlds, but what is still missing is that the individuals living in these worlds behave on their own "will" so to say, so they can develop things, do things that are unexpected and can change the environment, cities and so on, and all you do is you look at them or maybe guide them. Thought about this as a mix of sims, anno and so on with a cool visualization and graphics like yours. So everyone can "build" a little world, give the world specific attributes and conditions and then the world develops on its own and you can look at it, but you cannot destroy it or harm them, you can only help them with little things. I guess this would require some highly developed AI software for the individuals to do random stuff on their own, but I think it will be possible in the near future

These are great, so many little techniques to glean from this as well. One thing i think would have looked cool on this specific render, is a small amount of volumetric fog sitting on the surface of the pond, just to give it that rainy gloomy morning feel. It would also be interesting to experiment with the tilt shift technique to further enhance the miniature feel, although i personally have no idea how thats done or if its suitable for this kind of shot. Very cool stuff though, I learned a lot and cant wait to see more!
